can't unlock hecuba

i have around 500 hours and i still haven't been able to unlokc hecuba. I've finished runs with all other familiars but cant seem to trigger hecate to unlock hecuba.
Is there something im doing wrong?

i'm pretty sure it's just twice. once to pet her as a greeting and then again to give her a morsel. you just need to have the RNG luck to have her show up in any given run.

That is not the case.
I had multiple conversations ( "!" over Hecubas head) and in the last run i was only able to "chat" with hecuba and nothing more. I was never able to give her a morsel, although i've always had some in my inventory and also was never able to talk to hecate about hecuba.

That is not the case.

But have you got the raven yet?

For me, the moment I had the raven I was able to give the treat to Hecuba and bound with her.


Anyway, there seems to be a huge inconsistency and uncertainty on how to get the familiars now.

Hope the devs fix this on the next update.

I had the raven. The moment i got the raven i did multiple runs where i met hecuba, but the only thing i was able to do is "chat", nothing more. and there weren't new conversations with hecate either.

Does Raki need to be equipped when recruiting? I forgot whether I had Raki or Frinos when I got the option, but I am leaning towards it was Raki.

I'm pretty sure I got Raki with me, but I don't know if it's necessary.

It wouldn't hurt nor ruin a run to have Raki with you for a couple of runs, though. Until you find Hecuba, that is.

(mind you that I'm just sharing my experience and I'm in no way whatsoever that what/how I have done is the definite way to get Hecuba...)

Definitely wouldn't hurt to use Raki for a run. I think at 0 fear I'm clearing Chronos under 17 minutes now.

Frinos is still no.1 best boi for increased HP and blocked projectiles, but increased crit is a solid advantage.

I know I saw someone post it only takes 2 runs to tame, but I swear I pet Hec at least 5+ times in Echo's chamber before recruit popped up. Maybe give it 1-3 more runs to test then smash that F10 button fam.

And now he doesnt appear anymore in my runs so i send a bug report like u told me to, waiting for the response and thx for the help

Supergiant doesn't respond to F10 submissions. If they do I have never gotten one.
