Hades II

Hades II

Hades the movie
You buy Hades 1, play it for 100 hours, do everything you have to do and finally release Hades 2 with a magnificent story with very bold mechanics and dialogues and after 100 hours you stop to think and if one day there is an animated Hades film that brings together the entire history of the franchise in a single series, what do you think if one day there was a Hades series ?

Well, Blood Of Zeus on Netflix clearly has some tie ins with SG as they included Zag and Mel as Hades' children (despite this not being the case anywhere but this game). I don't think it's likely they'd make a direct adaptation of the game, but it's possible.

I also think it's possible because if there was a series it would be serious from the game's point of view where there are totally different things, I even think that if there really was a series with the heavy name of the Hades franchise a lot of people would watch it, it would be cool xD
I'd watch this but I think it would work best as a series. Given Zag's inability to truly die, the tension will have to be ratcheted up more initially with Persephone choosing to return, which then introduces the larger topic of avoiding war with Olympus. It's already in the game, but getting an audience to care about an unkillable protagonist who has to go through the same challenges over and over (to at least some degree if you want to stay true to the spirit of the game), will take clever writing. It's totally doable and I bet SG working with a good screenwriter could make a great limited streaming series out of H1.

Zagreus and Melinoë exists in the Greek pantheon outside of this game though. They possibly aren't children of Hades though, depending how you squint when looking into the mythos.

Good call mentioning Blood of Zeus.

Real talk, could someone who has watched Blood of Zeus please tell me if this show is worth watching? It's highly rated on Rottentomatoes and IMDb, both good signs.

For some reason I've never given it a chance, I couldn't exactly say why. Prolly cuz I've focused on other animations like Frieren, Cyberpunk Edgerunners, and Blue Eye Samurai (insanely good).

Maybe I'll watch a few episodes this week to have a trip report. Maybe I've been sleeping on a good show.

I watched the first season and it was wonderful. I highly recommend it, especially since the second season has just come out, which also follows the same vibe as the first.

I like both seasons. The second is also far better animated, in general.

Personally I feel it's overrated, it all feels like it's trying a bit too hard. It's constantly hitting you with emotional music and emotional struggles to the point of actually breaking immersion. It's not bad, but it doesn't have the quality of something like Blue Eye Samurai.

Come on, person. Few series have the quality of Blue Eye Samurai. That comparison will be unfair 90% of the time. XD

Thank you all! I'll give Blood of Zeus a watch this weekend.

Watched a few episodes of S1 Blood of Zeus. It's pretty cool, the Giants were my favorite monster designs, little Berserk vibe there. The show is darker than I'd imagined, it's been fun.

Nobody will be surprised to know that I'm on Team Hera. Crows are sacred to her. She turns into a crow. What more needs to be said? Plus I haven't seen her use Hitch yet, but I betcha Zeus is afraid of it. :zaglol: He knows Hitch is a top tier boon.

The first episodes can be summarized as Zeus being a naughty boy. Gods doin' God thangs.

I told you it's a very good series, the 2nd season is absolute cinema, the ending is very epic, unfortunately the 2nd season is the end of the series, but it was very good, even so I recommend watching the complete series.

There are 3 seasons.

Thanks again! I'm gonna watch it. :happy_seagull:

SGG could benefit from a Hades TV show, as long as it's good. If it's as good as Blood of Zeus, that's a win.

I'm just thinking about how Cyberpunk Edgerunners revitalized interest in the franchise. It got a lot of hype. The studio (Trigger) who made it is legendary, though, they were kinda lucky.

I wonder how it would work with the budget and everything. Plus, voice-acting - would the game's voice actors do it? All the legal stuff. Lot of questions.

SGG might need to partner with some other folks. Maybe even the Blood of Zeus team could produce it.
