Hades II

Hades II

DIONYSUS...Deserves more.
Alright, you guys got away with it through sheer charm last time...but Dionysus is NOT the god of binge drinking, phuck boying, and conflict avoidance. They are LITERALLY the "ECSTATIC GOD OF THE ALTERED STATE OF MIND." FULL STOP.

If you haven't done psychedelics, or delirium inducing drugs...if you haven't thought about the "life flashing before your eyes as you die" kind of ♥♥♥♥ this deity represents... then shame on you? There are lots of different altered states of mind, and the very idea that Dionysus wouldn't fuse well with Ares, Aphrodite, or Hermes shows an astonishing lack of foresight regarding these mythological figures and their personalities which are WELL ESTABLISHED FROM THOUSANDS OF YEARS WORTH OF STUFF TO GO BY...So yeah, the Dionysus the horny frat boy kegger god is wearing my phucking patience, and I hope I'm not the only one who hopes that character will ditch the party boy attitude for something that actually is worthy of their association with Olympias, the mother of Alexandros Omegas!

He will pierce player's eyes if he gets more. I'll leave it at that.

I often wonder if this forum is a cesspit of weirdos

OP has been banned twice already, and yet comes back.

I'm kindof amazed at how quickly they manage to get themselves banned each time.

Make that thrice.

Not that it matters at all. These are literally my first 3 account comment related infractions in 14 years of service. They're also in bad faith, and conditionally/technically correct. The worst kind of correct.

Steam Forums were ALWAYS cesspits of weirdos though, that's not even inaccurate. Though it's ironic to see any of YOU posting about THAT!

I mean this in the best possible way, but... Calling people names and insisting they are bigots for disagreeing just isn't very productive in any sense of the word. In these forums so far you have by far been the most hostile and aggressive force.
I agree with some of the stuff you've brought up, like there should be more representation of genderqueer or just... Generally queer people. But demanding that a relatively small indie studio change their game to suit what you want is entitled at best and harassing at worst. Especially when you start saying they are owards or bigots for not catering to your exact sensibilities. You can state your opinion, give criticism in good faith and sure, some people will make fun of you but generally speaking things would be fine.

On top of that, and more specific to the topic you brought up as OP here, there is no one canon of Greek mythology. And it's very obvious that SuperGiant isn't aiming for as historically faithful an adaptation as possible. I can imagine you being disappointed, but they're not 'just' doing a frat boy thing with him, there's a lot more to the portrayal. They're using his established character from Hades 1 to comment on escapism, depression and what coping mechanisms people can turn to when they feel powerless. I happen to think Dionysus' portrayal is very powerful and understated in some ways, it's one of my favourite thigns about Hades 2 so far.

Just, you know, please stop the vitriol and the yelling at/projecting onto people. If you're interested in conversation you're gonna have to let other people speak without attacking them the moment they express a perspective different from yours.
I think it's funnier this way
Methinks the lady doth protest too much.
This might be the first time I've ever used the block function on Steam. Would encourage others to do the same. Just don't give this kind of garbage any meaningful attention, it'll go away eventually. Never click 'Show', it's not worth it.

I'm actually curious to see how many times one gets to be banned until it's banned permanently.

(I've reported him this time)

I've already got notifications from your most recent bad faith reports. This time it didn't matter.
Finally. Got banned again. I hope this time for good. Had to report him twice.

I partly agree, I do wish that his character had been handled differently. IMO in Hades 1 he did not indicate that he was such a one dimensional drunkard to the point where he would just party and do nothing else. He got involved, he showed his power and went out of his way to help Zagreus. Now this powerful God wants to do nearly NOTHING to protect his family or preserve his way of life?

PS. I am not getting involved nor am i really aware of whatever drama is occurring above, idk the guy I just agree with the sentiment that Dionysus could have been dealt with better
