Hades II

Hades II

Sell me the most broken builds of the aspect of Moros
I see this aspect super praised and considered SS tier by pretty much everyone. I did some runs with it and yes, it feels quite powerfull but in the same time bittersweet.
I tried (first the attack then the special) Hestia/Poseidon, Hestia/Zeus, Poseidon/Zeus and Aphro/Zeus ...yes a lot of Zeus...The one that impressed me the most was the romantic Spark but in the same time...it doesn't have to do anything with the aspect of moros because i pretty much used omega special, ran into enemies and nuked for 2500 damage (with the actual RS bonus of 80%, i had like 13 poms on a rare blitz).
So, let's remove the run of Apro/Zeus...
The damage felt good but in the same time inconsistent, if you don't have the triple orb, you can do the omaga attack spam after the special and miss a lot of combo explosions.
I say this because everyone pretty much says that Moros is braindead while to me...when i think of braindead i think about the romantic spark build i mentioned before.
So my dear steam community, please tell me what i'm doing wrong, what i'm missing, because i'm really curious to feel that braindead, super powerfull feeling that is so mentioned
in the steam and reddit forums for the Moros torches.

Hera/Zeus. The end.

Same, I take Zeus on essentialy any run unless I need to test or experiment. Zeus is just plain great.

I run origination, so I prefer any combo that can get me 2 status effects.

I just beat Typhon last night testing Ares/Zeus and had both legendaries. This would pop a lot of mobs and give around 150~% attack and move speed with blood which was awesome, but I felt lacked some dps for last fight even with triple helix. Everything up to Typhon was absolutely melted though. I would clear most rooms before Heph invuln turned off at 8 seconds. I would probably swap Zeus/Ares next test and that should see better numbers.

Zeus/Demeter and Zeus/Hestia are personal faves. Sometimes just swapping them run to run can be a mild mix up with essentially same results. Hera is another favorite, but can see some diminishing results against single target fights.

I really only use Aphrodite for her base attack power increase, dodge chance, and her proximity weak gain.

Heph is a standard, but also mostly for his utility and ignore his core boons.

The best builds for this weapon are Hestia/Zeus with Zeus as your special and their duo. The first best build is Hera/Demeter. Weed Killer + Blood Line + Mana reduction + Born Gain or Tranquility. Any builds otherwise just don't slap HP bars like these do.

I am curious if you have any hard numbers you could share that can confirm this data? Obviously we agree these god combos are great, but I have not taken the time yet to compare the explicit numbers proving that Hera Demeter is the clear winner. Thankfully I screenshot every run clear, so I am curious myself what has the highest total output for my own playthroughs when I have some spare time to investigate.

Blood Line alone makes Torches stupidly OP
I always recommend Hestia/Demeter for Moros. If you get Hestia Attack, Demeter Special, and their Duo Boon... everything DISSOLVES. I legitimately get to Chronos/Typhon's first damage check in about 5 seconds. Best part is that's all you need, other things help, but the core stuff is just those 3 (Origination obviously helps). Best part is with Hestia's new Gain, the explosions from the detonated Attacks count towards the regen, AKA endless big ghosties.

I don't always screenshots runs, recently I have, but those things put out about 5.5k-6k in 2 seconds or less once channeled. The final boss may has well skipped to the last phase because that's how fast it immediately died.
I have gotten some ridiculous numbers on Zeus cause I guess I am pretty much a Zeus purist at this point, but I am always up to experiment with a variety of solid proven builds. Granted I have done really neat runs with Hera's fine line, but I can't say for sure it is top dog in my experience. I was sifting through my wins and the top by a pretty long shot had attack at 196k followed by blitz at 65~k with only those two sources of damage. Static shock plus Heph's duo also makes a really good time.

I'm pretty sure my blood line ended up catching all the damage I had done through the first 2 regions into the 3rd after I picked it up at the end of two once. Other than that, My Zeus and Hestia run was such a sleeper that I didn't even get a chance to grab a dash or a cast in my build. It was just my Blitz being triggered 6 times total times in one cast and dealing 480 burn plus blits dps. I'm pretty sure I didn't even bother beefing that run at all with anything other than cash flow for more of those two's additives.

Either way you have picqued my interest. I am gonna focus my next handful of runs on focusing Zeus/Hera/Demeter in different builds and see what I come up with.

Safest build I can recommend you is to start with a Hera keepsake and just start with Born Gain and hunt for her Attack and start stacking Magick before you get Fine Line from her as well. You can have Ares/Hera/Demeter as fair options for Attack for a status curse for Origination. If you chose Ares for attack, you have access to Grievous Blow, which is my fave build on it right now (Ares Attack + Grievous Blow + Born Gain + Fine Line)

Run another special for a different curse, such as Zeus. You will want to get as much channeling speed as you can to maximize its strength, as you will need to create another Omega Special the moment it expires, then return to Omega Attacking, so Clean Candle and Clean Helix are your preferred Daedalus hammer upgrades (Clean Candle prio).

All in all, it does disgusting damage super quickly, but if you have Fine Line in Fields or Thessaly then you may need to reign in your usage before you prime out, as it has multiple encounters in a single location, leaving your MP bar primed longer.

The best keepsake you can run for it in the end is Metallic Droplet, as the Attack speed is great for your general dps, and the Channel Speed heavily affects your Omega Special channeling time and the number of attacks it takes to shift back from Attack to Omega Attack.

Hey, Mynt. I first wanna mention that I did read your axe guide you linked me and I enjoyed going through it, but I forgot which thread that happened to be on to relate that thought. Solid guide.

That being said I see a lot of people hard lining born gain. Doesn't cardio gain outshine born gain at some point since the massive regain of cardio should keep mana pretty well topped off at almost all times without the neccessity of priming which eventually taps out omegas? I was running a torch Zeus/Ares/Hera build last night with born gain, ~150% blood, etc, but I did not happen to opt for fine line. I won, but Typhon almost got me as I primed out completely during the fight and had to rely on some vanilla attacks which got dicey.

Thanks! I try my best with the guides, I do aim to release one for all weapons on full release, so getting feedback is lovely.

For Cardio Gain vs Born Gain, I suppose it depends. You can for sure run Cardio Gain but it will dip your entire MP bar back to 0 really quickly with Fine Line, in which case you toss out non-Omegas until it's full again, then you cycle back to Fine Line spamming. Feels weird though for sure. I find that killing Typhon with Grit 3 (which has 85k HP), you just need about 250 MP and Born Gain. Easier to get that 250 if you start Hecuba since that's like 150 MP already I think at base. Just try not to attack while nothing is happening and you should be in the clear, especially since Fine Line will blast Typhon since he is fully immobile.
