Unfinished Art?
Is some of the art missing or unfinished? including some character sprites? Or are those hooded people (Narcissus, Echoes, Ikares, etc.) all final?

Just curious.

The hooded figures are place holder. Characters portraits that look like sketches are also placeholder.

Icons that are alphabetized (like keepsakes and some boons) are also placeholder.

Yes, there are still a lot of placeholder things. Hooded sprites, sketch portraits, and all of the keepsakes being rings.

I wish they didn't have to "finish" Circe's full-screen image (obviously still change the sprite.) Most of the humanoid characters look so samy and a bit dull and Circe's unfinished look is so unique in comparison and kind of fits the character (So I hope they don't ruin her Image when they "finish" her.) I just compared the Hades 1 Olympian full images to their Hades 2 versions and its a notable dip. In Hades 1 we had a lot more variety in Camare angles and expressions, lighting was less boxy, and characters were a little bit more detailed / complex, all of which where used in great effect to show case each character's personality. Just about every humanoid character in Hades 2 is just generaic smile or expressionless with their chest puffed out, one hand holding something diagonally and the other arm just resting to the side.

The only "finished" Hades 2 characters with slightly unique art styles is Dora (which I do think looks good, even If I hate her character) and Zeus's awful looking deadpan Eyes.

The only characters i think look amazing is Arachne, Dora, and Echo (probably because they are all non-humanoid, so they look way more unique then the rest and there unique shapes allow for more interesting lighting.) And to a lesser extent Scylla, the cyclops, and Hypnos (these three don't look outstanding, but they are better then the rest because the first 2 actually show a bit of the character's personality and hypnos is in a very unique position and a sleeping face is at least slightly unique.)

The hooded model and the hooded artwork are placeholders because the game is not finished. Also Echo's artwork and Hades's artwork in Tartarus seem to be unfinished as well. Also when Selene visits the Crossroads she doesn't have a distinct model and they used the hooded model again. Keepsakes and some boons also have numbers instead of art.

As expected, because it's early access.

I beg to differ. Among all characters, the reinterpretation of Circe as a kind of fury, Mary Poppins, High society English lady feels terrible. By the gods of darkness, in the ancient Mediterranean world (and now too), if there is one name which evokes pure power of feminine charm (as both seduction and magic) it is Circe, divine by essence (daughter of Helios and nymph). The mistress of the mysterious island, ruler over beast and men lost to their primal instinct. The one who could threaten the return of Odysseus.

IMHO, it is the same level of cringe as Hades, loser rocker, lousy lover and cuckold in the movie Percy Jackson and the lightning thief.

Note: It is not a critic of the talent of voice actor, illustrator and writer. Just not the most fortunate choice there.
