Possible bug, not able to upgrade familiars

I just learned they can be leveled yesterday, I never see any prompt to be able to upgrade. i only figured out you could by watching a youtube video and they had the cat level 4. Am i doing something wrong? i have enough treats but just can't figure out where to upgrade them

A new cauldron incantation was added that allows you to upgrade them. And to upgrade them you have to brew treats in the cauldron as well. Once you have both you should be able to by interacting with them in the training grounds

In the main hub area where you pick your weapons. Go towards the circle where your items for gathering resources are. All your pets will be there and then just get close to one and you will see the Treat command.

Not sure entirely. It just sort of appeared in the cauldron menu without really being prompted. My guess is I was far enough past the point where it would normally have notified me so it just gave it to me.

If your very far progressed do a run and come back and it may appear in the cauldron menu.

If not, my guess the prompt that triggers it is running into one of the familiars in the field, since you need treats to recruit them. Tula(cat) can be found in the Rift of Thessaly entrance, and Hecuba(dog) I've encountered with Echo.

II have unlocked like 95% of things so far, i have done a few runs, and I found the bird. although the bird does not appear for me in the hub. i submitted a bug report and they said there is nothing wrong with my save file. so I don't understand what im doing wrong.

I'm having an issue with upgrading them as well. I was able to unlock familiars post-patch, and able to find and recruit the bird. Then I was given the incantation for resting familiars for an increase in resources they find. For whatever reason though, I do not have the incantation for upgrading familiars and can't figure out how to make it appear in my incantations list.

for me it was finding another familiar to trigger the incantation

I have the same issue - I have plenty of Delights in my inventory but am unable to give any familiars treats and they're all on level 1. I don't have any of the new familiars with the Olympus patch yet.. so maybe that's the bug.

Are you approaching the familiars in the Hub or out in the Surface/Underworld? I think you can only upgrade them from Crossroads. Make sure you didn't re-bind the hotkey/controller input.

Okay - I think I've figured it out. If you did not upgrade any familiars before the Olympus Update, you won't be able to until you gain one of the new familiars and then unlock the incantation "Bravery of Familiar Spirits" which will be new in the Cauldron. This new incantation showed up once I gained Raki.

I have found 3 of the familiars all found in different patches, raki in the Olympus patch and Toula in the war song patch and still no prompt to upgrade. mind you in another save i do save the option
