I loved Zagreus too. I think the reason is that the developers don't like to retread ground - this is the first sequel they've made despite a string of critical and fanbase successes with previous games.

I mean he kinda wrapped up his arc in Hades 1. Repaired his relationship with his father, got more serious about helping manage the Underworld in his own way, reconciled with his distant relatives, found his mom, renovated the House of Hades, reunited Nyx with her primordial parent, maybe got into an committed relationship, helped numerous shades find peace in the afterlife....I don't think he needs a whole second game

But he didn't plant a tree nor wrote a book.
His life is still incomplete :p

Why? His story is done, theres nothing left to tell there. I do hope we see him again before the end of the story, but hes not going to be a lead character.

I have seen glimpses of him in some of Supergiants work on the game. Unless he gets cut he does appear in 2 somehow. Just don't know how yet. I am thinking it will be endgame content.
