Here's a mod that makes characters more anime. It looks pretty good.
Disclaimer: Might not work with recent patch
Disclaimer: Might be AI
Why mention children? Why is that the first thing you think about when seeing something like this? None of the images show any children or child-like characters.
These are not adult-coded characters. They're teenagers, schoolgirl-age. You can't just slap exaggerated sexual characteristics on drawings of children and say that's an adult, or add a backstory that says they're 500 years old, but I am familiar with the tactics.
And tbh change the art if you want but it's rancid to take a character that is specifically designed as senior and/or fat and "correct" that inside of its own product according to what you find f---able.
You need to touch grass, dude.
What the hell do you mean they're "not adult-coded characters"? o.0 Not a single one of the characters changed by this mod is written, behaves or presented as underage teenage schoolgirls, nor does the mod artstyle even try to present them as such. If you don't like that particular anime-esque artstyle, that's fair. But say that. Use a little common sense.
This road goes both ways. It's equally ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to look at a character that's obviously, inarguably an adult, from the way they talk/behave to their actual character traits and features to the way they're proportioned and presented compared to other characters in the setting, and call them drawings of children based on nothing but the artstyle. The subset of questionable anime tropes that you're "familiar with the tactics" of cannot and should not be applied lightly to any anime artstyle you come across that you don't like.
Partially agree, because it has to do with why I myself don't like the mod. Unwrinkling/deaging Demeter and just straight up replacing Hestia with a generic woman in bland jewelry and fire and smoke thrown in as an afterthought strikes me as... obnoxious. But that's just my personal opinion, which is why I won't download the mod or give it any more views. If someone wants that for their own indulgence because they think it looks better, I don't really care, as long as it doesn't involve any actual crime. Do with your copy of the game what you prefer to do.
this is AI as ♥♥♥♥ and it sucks
Found a great (hand-made) reskin mod for Hades 1, but none for Hades 2 yet. We'll most likely get some good ones once the game is fully out.
On the other hand, found an even worse AI one for Hades 2. Didn't link that one because it's even worse than this one.
Demeter - This one looks dumb as f*ck
Hestia - Looks okay, but is boring. I've grown to love my pyromaniac auntie
Hecate - Dude, Hecate has one of the best portraits in all of H2. This alt image doesn't even try for a different style - it just makes the good H2 art into a crap version.
Artemis - Okay this one I actually like, but mostly because it's got sharper contrasts and the colors /pop/ more
Aphrodite - Oh, please. The H2 Aphrodite art is also great. Gotta agree with Beef on this one, at least. Regular H2 Aphro looks like an adult woman and anime-Aphro looks like a little girl.
While some people have strange ideas about said Anime style, and making up stuff about it, I don't feel the need to change this game's sprite just yet.
Hestia looks like anyone who's been working in the hearth of a house for a long time would.
Every time I read the news about all the Peter Files out there locally and abroad they are not the classic stereotype of a creepy old man offering candy at the bus stop. These criminals more and more are smack dab aged 24-28, utilize technology to assist their crimes, and there are absolutely real life examples to back it up.
I don't even click on steam game Art sections anymore strictly due to the overwhelming yikes factor.
LOL wut.
Good grief.
This is trying to get Chris Hansen summoned.
Yeah, there are bad people all around.
