Chaos Boon - Defiance Requirements?

I'm over 170+ nights in. Aside from the 3 Fates, Chaos is the $(^&#$(!&^@#)!*^&^#&)$ LAST on the fated list and I can't seem to get the legendary Defiance.

I've been checking the forums, etc. Some say you need to lose a DD first, some say no. Given that we are 3 patches in, I'm not sure if the requirements have changed or not.

Have anyone recently got the Defiance boon in Patch 3? I'm getting so sick of farming for it.

That was always the toughest one to get in Hades 1 as well. There was also speculation back then about doing this or that to improve the chances of making it appear...but it seems to just be low-chance RNG.

I've got it after Patch 1 and I had lost one DD.
Maybe even if it isn't needed (I'm sure it IS, though), it certainly helps.

What I did get even with 3 DDs was Hermes' legendary (which is also an extra DD). But for Chaos, I've only got it after having lost one, already.
In my case I started dying on purpose even on the very first room, just to make sure.

I had all my DD at the moment

After 100+ nights and 90 hours played so far, I finally managed to see it ONCE after patch 3, and not once since then. Probably just extremely rare.

Did you have all your DDs when you saw it in P3?

I'm currently trying to increase my chances by losing 1 DD at the start. 4 runs, still nothing. Maybe another night. Sigh~

im not sure what triggered it for me, i've only seen it once, i picked it up immediately. i can confirm you don't need a death defiance - it gave me one despite me not having any from the start. if that changed i dunno. i actually got it from the first room, but i think this was patch 1 when i got it. again im not sure if that changes anything for you, or what increases the chances.

cuz i haven't seen it since either, neither that nor the curse that takes away my arcana (i really really hate that curse.. very glad i got it too, and the curse ended before hecate.) i also believe the two were connected for me both being legendary curse/boon.

That's what I am trying to find out. These type of changes usually go quietly and not mentioned in the patch notes. Narcissus' boon needed a -1 DD before it appeared for me.

180 nights now. Been farming for it since Patch 2. It's annoying and exhausting.

I did have all of them still, yeah. So it doesn't seem dependent on if you've spent any or not.

I got it after 180 hours of playing, I don't think I lost a death defiance or had a previous chaos boon in the run; I did have to reroll like 3 times because I hadn't gotten what I wanted (mana regen, still didn't get it since I took the defiance haha). It is very very rare but I did have a run before that where I got three chaos gates (none defiance) so I think increasing your chances is just about seeing a lot of different chaos offerings and/or rolling for more when you don't get it

With or without Fear?

I've tried farming with 16-32 Fears. Got sick of it. Just trying with 0 Fear since its faster.

Does the amount of Fear affect the % for this boon?

im gonna tell u, u dont need to die.
i started a run with a chaos entrance on the first room, i had the chaos item (the egg), and some dice with me, just enter the chaos room, and if u dont get defiance, use the dice, if not, surrender until it appears, if u dont change anything, the chaos room stills apears on the first room, sorry for my english, i hope this helps ♥

Ooo nice trick! Gonna try it out now. Lets see if I can get an early Chaos room.

EDIT: Been using this reset trick for 43x. Still no Defiance. Sleepy... try again tomorrow T_T

Spent over and hour reset, reroll, reset, reroll... i lost count but easily 30+ tries. Still nothing. What is the drop rate on this thing??? 0.0002%?

I have finished F32 for all the current weapons and everything else on the Fated List, learned every cauldron spell. This is literally the LAST thing on my to do list and I can actually stop until more content is added. But noooooooooooooooooooo. Friggin Defiance boon doesnt even EXIST. ARGGGGGGHHHH
