I remember in the first Hades I've instinctively avoided making Zeus angry hahaha
Until one day I've took my chances and regreted it 🤣
I'm Hades 2 I've made him mad once wondering "is he still as difficult as in Hades 1?".
The answer is "yep, every bit of it". So I keep always choosing him first.
Why so defensive. Let it go 😋
Now if you anger Zeus on a small playfield, yeah your are pretty much SoL, so definitely avoid that.
But if you anger him on a mid-big field then he isn't THAT bad...
The key with him is that he has a bit of a delay after each onslaught of AOEs.
So the best way to deal with him is to attack very carefully during his AOE onslaught (or go on the defensive).
Then he will have a small delay before his next batch of attacks, during that delay is when you go fully offensive and don't worry about him.
He isn't THAT terrible if you think about his attack patterns a bit, but he does require a bit of patience if you want to deal with him safely.
But generally I more often pick options based on what Boons they might contain than on who I want to fight. I know I'll get both, but most of the time I need just that one Boon...
Demeter and Hera are the second worst, IMHO.
Which is understandable since they are the wives.
Aphrodite is annoying, but at least you can clearly see the heart following you. Same with Poseidon, although I have the impression that Aphrodite shoots more often.
Then why his boons suck?
This has been known since Hades 1, never bet against Zeus in the battle of the gods.
I don't know when they start to appear. It's not right away, that's for sure.
When they do appear it's exactly like in the first Hades so you can't really miss it.
And I swear I wasn’t this bad at dodging Aphrodite’s heart in Hades I, but I can’t believe how much trouble I’m often in wherever I choose to piss her off in Hades II. Her heart now feels a lot faster and way better at tracking, and it doesn’t help that Mel can’t spam dash.
