Hermes dash boon was probably the biggest addition, along with Hephaestus primed armor. I would have liked Apollo sprint, but never happened.
Also, try to get the double moonshot hammer in biome 1. Then just play it real safe, kiting through your casts.
My Arcana loadout:
VI, X, XI, XII, XIII, XIV, XV, XVIII, XX, XXII, XXIII, XXIV
You can also clinch some boss fights (for me, Chronos phase 1) by doing Strength under the Hephaestus/Arachne armor.
As for Vows, just take whatever you're comfortable with. One thing is that I was never able to get any time in because of how safe you're forced to play. It might get easier when they implement some sort of Extreme Measures type fear effect but for now just take it slow and steady.
The TL;DR of my Guide was to do a full tank build where you use Omega Special to heal off walls and use the increased base power (From Momus Aspect) to spam basic special for damage. Also its important to note that even though Vows of Sacrifice is supposed to reduce healing, for some reason you still get the full healing from Momus aspect even when Vows of Sacrifice reduces healing to 0.
This assuredly sounds like an unintended interaction. Suffice to say, it'd be trivial to exploit high fear levels with it.
To make matters worse, I feel there's far more boons in Hades II that don't really help *any* builds.
as already mentioned, Momus with Double Moonshot. stupid high dmg and rate of fire and is ranged and it seeks, like wtf? this makes some things super easy, too, since you're spamming Special, you can take Fear for starting Magick = 0, and Prime magick for rarity, since you don't need Mana. for Arcana, you're now freed up from using any of the Omega ones, and the one that has you do extra dmg when less than 100% Magick is free damage.
the projecttiles needs to be scaled down a bit or remove some of the projecttiles' trackable ability as 80% of them have that...
