LOL skill issue

Look, you're gonna beat the second boss and then it's going to be easy. Focus the drummer first, then the guitar player, then Scylla.
False. Its just badly designed game mechanics.
I have beaten the game and this boss is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. It drenches you in mindless projectiles without the means to avoid them at this part in the game in many runs due to the horrific pillowing of dodge. Even chronos can and other fights are fair game, you can generally avoid attacks, the start of this boss you cant the OP is right and his remarks are fair.

No means to avoid or dodge them? I can kill scylla with the daggers taking no damage whatsoever with Scylla as the featured artist...wtf you talking about?

Definitely a skill issue xD

The fight ALWAYS starts the same too... Scylla will start chasing you with her trident laser; Jetty will try to guitar slam you and the drummer will send out a slow wave of damage zones... if you go in; drop your cast and dodge up-right or down-right you need to be REALLY bad at dodging to be hit by ANY attacks at the start

So yeah; ur just bad at the game xD

The Sirens have 3 hitboxes. That is basically case closed right there. You deal triple damage to them as long as your basic spacing, kiting and aim are good.

Even if everything else about the encounter was actually as random as you think (it isnt, they're actually more fixed patterns than most touhou games) you should be able to brute force it 90% of runs.

Don't mention Touhou to him... he might actually try it and then complain he can't finish it on normal whilst there are YT vids out there of people clearing it on Nightmare Extra mode xD

Touhou.... it's korean practise for how not to get wet when outside during monsoon season xD

theres 2 jobs, avoid damage and deal damage

I've done the scylla boss fight without getting hit maybe 30 times so far, even on a fresh save with no arcana on run 1. Dodge the opposite direction you intuitively want to and the fight is easy

I just beat her on my fourth try so

What the heck, Scylla and the Sirens feels like the best designed boss by a long shot >_>

Its pretty simple, you'll get the hang of them!
Remember these:
drummer first, Scylla last
Your dash has HELLA i-frames, use this to dodge the drummers area attacks
Use your cast in scyllas path at the start of the fight since she ALWAYS starts with the banshee style scream attack.
Abuse any and all aoe options since the sirens like to clump up.

Spam your omega cast in the final phase, This will help ensure the fish dont become a problem while you melt Scylla

easy to beat tbh if you know the pattern after 2-3 tries even with close combat weapon.
huge skill issue if you ask me

Yeah, Scylla feels really chill overall. Jetty is probably the hardest one, but breaking the band down is pretty easy, plus you get a banger of a track. OP is going to hella dislike the infernal beast and will absolutely HATE fighting Chronos.

I had a much, much harder time with Scylla than Beast as far as first few encounters go.

Cerberus is actually the worst boss of the game because the amount of time you actually can't do any damage to him is way, way too long, and the attacks -- even though you know exactly where to dodge, where to stand, etc. -- are still very likely to hit you due to obscenely large area of attack.

Chronos is second to that because of obscene HP and damage, but at least his core design is pretty good.

Huh? You hit Cerb the entire fight except for when he's not there and when he's stomping. Extremely easy boss.
I am afraid this is what is commonly referred to as a skill issue, my friend :Emil:

Cerberus is kind of a chore to fight.
I don't really get hit at all anymore during the fight. Once you figure out the pattern, I feel like you can easily dodge any attack it might through at you.

That said, it's a chore for all those reasons.
^ This again.
Scylla I got through on my first try. It's a very enjoyable boss with very clear patterns. You can easily lock down each group member one by one and go ham.
Got through Cerberus on the first try also, but it was much LESS enjoyable. Stupid wide range attacks and patterns that require you to just do nothing for a spell. Which is not very fun. But on the run where I've built through Hephaestus sprint bomb, cheesing Cerberus at least was funny. Still boring af, but funny. Just running circles and exploding.
Didn't beat Chronos yet (only got to him once and 17 hp and 40 armour wasn't quite enough to finish the fight on the first try, but I almost got him). And boy, Chronos wasn't very fun. Doable. But not fun. Attacks with much bigger range than you'd expect. Lockdown on summoning more enemies (what's with the bosses summoning just normal dudes is Hades 2? I think every single one does it, including Scylla at the very end). Very much not Hades in terms of engagement. Second Phase wasn't very impressive neither.

Bottom line is: Scylla is probably the most enjoyable fight out of those that I've been through so far. I really don't see what's the issue is.
It's hard to hate Scylla when Coral Crown and I'm Going to Claw out Your Eyes is blasting during the fight. Bangers, both of them.
