Chronos 2nd phase
I'm really struggling on chronos' 2nd phase.

I've done about 26 runs now (Quite a few of which were on the surface tbf, and I have beaten eris now) and still can't get past his 2nd phase. I don't know how to get rid of the floating things around him, but my main problem is when he starts doing this massive AOE attack that closes in on the arena. I thought I had to try stand in the middle, but then he just starts spamming his attacks on me and I just die instantly. And I'm not talking about the one where you have to go stand in the circle btw. Can you dash through it? Cause to my eyes it looked like it was just covering the whole arena.

I really thought this last run was gonna be the one. I had an insane build on my artemis sister blades where I could hit almost 2k on my charged attack, with aphrodite's close up bonus too, and some other QOL things like hermes dash and invulnerability for the first 11 seconds of the fight and over 200 health. I absolutely powered through everything else but got completely annihilated by Chronos. He feels SIGNIFICANTLY harder than hades did in the first game, and I'm pretty sure I'd finished multiple runs at this point on hades 1. Did they make chronos purposefully harder because the game isn't technically finished yet?

the one where the circle is closing in towards the center you have to dash over. i agree that its not obvious visually. the whole second phase is a tad convoluted visually. a lot of stuff going on and it all has a very samey yellowy color. they might need to make his moves a bit more visually distinct in that second phase so that you can actually see whats going on more clearly.

Get 2-3 death defiances (upgrade eternity arkana) and lucky tooth, even if you don't try to dodge his attacks it will be enough to kill him if you have good dps.

Get a sprint boon and run towards the safe zones during those high area of attack moves. He doesn’t use them too often and if you stay aware of the floor theyre easy to avoid.

One of my biggest suggestions for Chronos in terms of balancing and designing him is there needs to be different colors.

Everything about Chronos and his mechanics is varying shades of gold, yellow and brown.

The Hades fight was a number of really distinct visuals on a largely-white surface, with a very visually-identifiable character. Chronos needs the same, as avoiding a lot of his mechanics is difficult simply because they're harder to distinguish.

I'm at 2 death defiances and a lucky tooth, so 3 total. I still can't beat him.

I won with a boon that capped your damage received to 15 per hit. I wouldn't bother to find the circle because that's when I can do most damage by sacrificing 15 HP. Especially useful if you take high heat/fear for damage.
