The problem is that the quality sounds bad and sticks out from the other cast, not that the direction is what it is.
Of course I would prefer a more natural and voice-actor emphasizing approach, but that's not for me to decide, but I can be "unhappy" with a work in progress audio mix.

If SG had AI voice tech this good, they wouldn't be a video game company. They'd be too busy making tons of cash licensing their AI voice tech to other studios.
