Enemies have too much health.
This might just be my opinion, but enemies seriously feel like they have gargantuan damage sponge health bars, and I need to do everything in my power to squeeze out as much damage as possible, because anything with a yellow health bar is a freakin' tank, and everything with a name is a raid boss. Half the boons in the game feel like they add barely any damage at all, with the exception of like Zeus, Poseidon, and Aphrodite (on specific weapons). Like, this game feels like it's afraid to let us do big damage and have fun, and I'm starting to find it frustrating. I have some issues with the annoying enemy design too, but it wouldn't be as much of an issue if everything didn't have massive health bars. Unless my build is popping off, bosses have multiple immunity phases, and massive health bars. With a good build, it's like a 5+ minute fight. With a bad one because of RNG, it feels like they take 10-20 minutes. Please, just let us do good damage and have fun.

If you're doing everything in your power to get extra damage (like, at the minimum, the +damage in cast and +damage while affected by 2 curses Arcanas), then the boss fights shouldn't be taking 10 minutes.

I'm doing good damage and having fun. I did a full run in just under 20 minutes.

Agreeing with the others, I routinely make it through entire zones in 6-7 minutes. The only time I don't is when I can't seem to get a somewhat ok build up and running, and that problem appears around stage 3 or 4.

Make sure you're gifting nectar to the gods, and using their keepsakes to tailor your build, and make sure you're upgrading your psyche, arcanas, and weapons. Before you get too much meta progression, everything is difficult, but once you have a little, you'll start winning runs constantly.

This right here is why I haven't bought this yet: seeing the reviews saying that everything has shields and is a damage sponge.

Always hated the Elysium part in the first one: it wasn't challenging, just tedious due to how many hits most things take. How does this one compare to that? (Just want a comparison. Don't want anyone saying that 'it is fun' or other subjective things. Everyone's got their own idea of fun, so that's meaningless.)

Truthfully is really depends on quality of build. Some runs can be really average or bad and enemies feel extremely tanky. Other builds especially as you get better and learn what to build and how to combo specials and attacks shred bosses and enemies faster then you would believe is possible. The problem I have is that the game doesn’t do the best job showing new players or people learning how to like get to that spot. Often times it can feel a little obtuse and hidden given how you need specfic hammers and boons and plan going in to really get that good dps. Right now a lot enemies have armor which also makes attacking them a bit risky since you can’t stun lock them so that’s also a aspect of it that you actually have spend time dodging unless you already had the dps to kill then before they attack. When you have a lot these enemies attacking at same time it can slow down the pace of things if your trying to avoid taking damage

I agree. They need to get rid of yellow enemy shields, make stun happen not on every hit, instead I feel it should be a % chance on hit. And there's like no middle ground in terms of dps, maybe it's a me thing, but my damage output is either good enough to cheese most enemies and bosses or it's so bad that half of enemy types feels tanky
