Chaos boons completely awful?
I've seen about 20 chaos boons and they are completely f. ucking terrible. Less mana usage, lower mana costs, sprint is faster etc. Literally never any good effect

He does have three direct DPS boosts (Strike, Flourish, and Chasm for Attack, Special, and Cast respectively), Creation can be great for certain runs if you get boons that trigger off elemental affinities. Legendary is naturally rare, but gives you a stack of Defiance in case you die. I also like to get Will if I'm going for a magic-heavy build so I have faster regen to keep spamming omegas.

A lot of it just depends on what you're building, but there are several ones that are great to get. If nothing else, hope for Favor so that boons you get are rare or better more often.

little rng no biggie there's def some noticeable ones like increase omega attack /attack and increase rarity of boons which btw with the complementary arcane cards is nutty

side note not saying you are guilty of it but in case others feel the same way try implementing the combat mechs that use mana more into your game play then playstyle from hades 1 to hades 2 is an adjustment for any player!

No? Just like in H1, it's pretty much always advantageous to take a Chaos option unless you're too close to a boss round or you have too little health to pay the blood tax. Haven't regretted it once. Even buffs that seem small can have dramatic effects down the line because of how they'll interact with other things. Lowering mana costs is extremely valuable, as are the god boons that do that.

Some Chaos effects from H1 have moved into main boons/hammers/Charon wells/character gifts in H2 ([x]% backstab damage, gold you find is worth [y]% more, +1 Death Defiance). There used to be only 12, and now there are 50.

They're perhaps a bit dull considering who you get them from, since you might imagine more fantastical effects coming from a being of pure weirdness, but the H1 versions were much the same kind of thing.

I've had a 90%+ attack damage while doing an attack focused build, so you can still get some great stuff.

Flourish (+ special damage), Will (+ magick regeneration) and Strike (+ attack damage) are all incredibly good.

Discovery (chance to gather double resources), Blood (heal when you move chamber), Talent (- magick used), Soul (+ HP) and Affluence (+ gold found) are all pretty good utility that I rarely regret having.

Celerity (+ move and sprint speed), Mind (+ magick) Chasm (+ cast damage), Creation (gain elements), Favor (increased chance to find rare or better boons), and Revelation (+ Omega charge speed) all tend to underwhelm me.

Defiance (restore a death defiance) is fine, but it's so rare to even see it.

Chant (bonus Omega ability damage based on elements) is really good with the right build, but again pretty situational.
I nearly always take the Chaos Ring. Constantly having Epic Chaos upgrades is wonderful.

i've never not taken the chance to get a chaos boon. some of them are completely broken. 18 magic recovery per second comes to mind. then there's upwards of +100 life, +3 to each element, 20 life per room etc. the 78% cast damage is also incredibly powerful during almost every run.
