So when you're coming over ground first mission gives your poison and idg how to get it off

you need moose and cook it

There's a series of events to remove it. The first time you go to the surface it kills you and there's literally nothing you can do about it.

Unless you can grab 2 moss while you're there it kills you the second time as well, as that's an ingredient for the incantation to remove the curse effect.
