I didn't know that I could get my route from her, that's good to know, I appreciate that haha
I prefer Hades 2 to Hades 1 but that doesn't mean the game is immune to criticism. Being punished for doing well isn't really supposed to be a thing that happens. If you win the encounter and choose a shop, the fact that she can just take an item out from under you feels too punishing. It's possible that I could of bought it before she buys it though like I can with the routes, I'll have to try what Alwoood suggested if she shows up in a shop again.
It's early access, dude. People have more than the right to gripe and voice their concerns; they're expected to. The devs want people "crying" about things they don't like and should change.
If you like it as it is and don't want to see it changed, that's fine; shut the ♥♥♥♥ up. Don't admonish EA players for giving feedback; all of it should be heard and considered. Make suggestions of your own, or at least try and help, like others have already done and been appreciated for.
I see, thank you for that, that makes me feel a whole lot better about it then, I didn't know that lol
Nemesis is a problem to solve, and a really easy one. You can dash and sprint; she can't. You can see how many enemies are spawning and, by the size of their clouds, how tough they'll be; she can't. The first time I met her, she won because I didn't know what was happening. That never happened again, nor when I encountered similar behaviour from Heracles, so if anything she could be tuned up.
Beyond what it says about the characters, really It's the game training you to raise your DPS with a little negative reinforcement.
As for her destroying routes: sprint to the door before she does.
Taking a boon at the shop: it's funny, a small misfortune. You don't have to be fully outraged about it. "This mechanic is bad": these are character moments that flesh out a relationship, with her in the irritating older sister role (although you're only distantly related). It's good to have unexpected flies in the ointment to keep the runs interesting.
I do dislike her taking items/doors and locking you out of it. There is nothing to be gained out of it. It's just punishment for punishments sake. At least that is what it feels like to me.
If she took a door if you lost, I could understand it. You played badly and got punished. But even if you beat her, she takes a door away. This can be very frustrating at times.
I'm aware you can take the door before she does but if you are unsure what to take you either gotta take any, or pause the game. Having to pause the game so you can play the game the way you want to does not feel like good design to me.
Others disagree with me and that is totally fine, but I feel like how Nemesis currently works fits better into the heat system to make things more punishing rather than a core mechanic.
