Eris feels way too overtuned
Might just be me but the girl feels way harder then anything else in the game, Chronos included. Besides having way more range on her attacks and pretty subtle tells (minus the big boom) she attacks insanely fast and buffs her damage by 100% 5 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ times during the fight. Her arena is also filled with hazards that dont seem to go away once popped, reducing the size of a already small arena to be even smaller.

Chronos Hits harder sure, but he attacks way slower and less frequent, you might take a swing to the face for 30+ but you have a few seconds to recover before he starts swinging again. Eris on the other hand, if she catches you with her rapid fire, shes going to unload into you 9/10 times and with the perma fire on the ground and cluster bombing it can get insanely hard to dodge. Especially since she can freely turn as much as she wants during it, so you cant even dash behind her to dodge.

80% of her attacks are negated by a single perk by hestia, and the rest are big aoe fields you can walk out of.

she is scary if she manages to land a hit, but thankfully a lot of her hits are just obviously telegraphed.

Holy crap, that's the answer. I have been struggling with her, and my mistake was trying to keep my distance. Her attacks are pretty predictable, and her tracking is somewhere between poor and non-existent. Dash behind her as she is about to attack, and keep attacking while she shoots at air. It turned a frustratingly hard encounter into an easy one.

Overtuned implies it was tuned to be stronger or weaker than the base, then it was TUNED to be too strong or too weak. Given there were no buffs or nerfs -- do you mean overpowered?

Genuinely and easily beat her first try. Scylla is a consistently harder fight.

My suggestion, get the knife and sickle weapon, and constantly make use of the omega attack to teleport behind her. You'll dodge 90% of her attacks just with that.

Haven't gotten to her yet. I've progressed past the first boss and through the kraken like mini boss in the surface, and I can safely say that surface is a lot harder than underworld. So I wouldn't be surprised if it's last boss was harder than Chronos.

Killed her at first try. Happened to have "evaporating projectiles" boon on me :D

Killed her first try by hugging the pillars whenever she had her damage bonus. Didn't even know what she does. Dunno, seemed pretty straight forward the second one accepted that "challenging her" makes no sense and that one should simply use the environment instead. The second her burst phase is over, you just exploit slowdown and unload omega attacks on her.

I beat her first time with the sickle and knife because the attack special just teleports you behind her. As long as you can quickly move around her it should be fine, tho this might be difficult to do with most of the other weapons.

First fight against her she one shot me with 165 health, a little silly I think. Once you get used to her patterns she's not so bad. But still frustrating that 1 small slip up can end your run

Absolutely, I literally beat Chronos without using a single of my 3 death defiences.
Yet AFTER THAT I beat her BARELY with her using ALL 3 of them.

If at least you could stand in that attack to give yourself that 100% buff as well in exchange for some damage received, that would literally solve it.

Offer some HP for a fat buff, or try to dodge it all with way greater risk of it taking long

And when she's standing in fire? Which she does half the time?

This is another boss with extremely bad visual clutter.

She's the same size as you. The screen is full of fire and explosions.

It's bad.

In that case you've got a few pillars to hide behind. Also Frinos just makes her attacks completely useless, just hide behind the little guy.
Get the fire sprint to destroy her projectiles. Avoid the AOEs. If she's standing in fire, walk away to make her follow or use range.

She's extremely easy to beat if you can get the impervious moon hex and boons to recharge it quickly.
