I think it's throwing a lot of ppl off cause it's different and also probably cause they only ever used the fast builds in Hades 1.
After my awful first run, and I realized how different we have to approach the fights now, I was like this is cool. Playing around cast/hexes feels great. And I'm glad they went for something this distinct for the sequel.
Also. Yeah. I love the three zones and how different they feel.
Lol; first time I got the skull it REALLY made a confusing mess out of things as the skull works like the cast from Hades 1. So I would use my cast at times I had to use my normal attack xD
Also, I like the idea of 'crafting' your upgrades and the things in the crossroads using your cauldron.
In essence, this is an upgrade screen, we all know that, but I like the flair of it, keeping with the witch theme.
omg felt to both of these. The new magic system makes battles feel like mini puzzles in each fight bc you have to figure out what cast or spell you should use to take down certain enemies. I love doing the axe attack special... that one is just SOOO fun with certain boons.
The crafting upgrades is really neat to me too. It feels a lot more strategic than the first game's mechanics TBH! You really have to think about how to spend limited resources that can be used across multiple different upgrades. I'm excited to see more of what's to come with that.
The only problem for me is that I can't wait for the rest of the content to be released. As a mere mortal, I pray for the path to Olympus to reveal itself!
The charge mechanic adds a lot of interesting interactions into the game and getting a beyblade axe build going is a ton of fun.
