Hades II

SuperGiant Games titles - A wasted Oportunity
You as a company had always switched between genres and games. Bastion and Transistor were kind of similar but different nevertheless.

But this is a mistake. Hades was fun until you have enough firepower and skills to reach the final boss in each run. That made the game kind of hard to binge, as what was 3 to 5 starts in one sit, became one.

I do not want to repeat the process. Roguelikes are cool but you get tired of them. Hades 2 is a mistake and you will notice it too late.

Honestly though roguelikes are pretty popular and will take most people more hours to "finish" this game than other games out right now. I think you get your money's worth.

The game is Early Access with probably 20-25% of its total content currently available and this guy calls it a mistake. Is he for real?

#1 Top-selling and most-played game on Steam atm — but sure dude, pop off. :zaglol:

Then make your own game. By your description, there's obviously a creative gap you think needs filled.

Sorry to tell you but it has way closer to 90-95% of its final content than 20-25% lmao.

How would you possibly know this? Did you play Hades 1 in EA? They added entire areas.

OP is upset because devs made a game whose genre he doesn't particularly like, based on the fact that he barely played the prequel and got upset when he was able to beat it (and didn't adding difficulty to suit himself).

Only way I can think of this speculation is that the version we are playing on is .90****, so being in the ".9" stage means we only have ".1" more percent till full release. That being said, a good chunk of stuff can come in during that time as feedback comes in and plus polishing will be needed too of course.

That's not at all how versioning works.

Sorry you don't like video games made with a challenging endgame, not everyone is a casual gamer like yourself.

What help was being #1 Top-Selling to Tango Gameworks?

This is a long term death-sentence for the Studio.

Supergiant is 100% independent and beloved by virtually everyone. Tango Gameworks was under the thumb of a megacorporation.

Try again.
