As a greek I am appaled by the depiction of Ancient Greek Wokology
Would it be a Mythology, I would call it that. But its not.

You want to know how ancient Greeks imagined ancient Gods? Google Image: "ancient greek sculpture Gods" or "vase painting greek gods" and you will get your answer. No, there were no shemales, drag queens, androgynous people, lisps etc. And there was no push of body diversity on the vase paintings.

Poor greeks are turning in their graves by this blatant butchering.

Seconly, there were equal male and female figures. In hades 2 there are almost no male figures, apart from the male target practice dummy and some feminine male figures that are about to be dominated by the female counterparts.

It's your game and you can call it however you want, but capitulating the lavish ancient greek mythology just to turn it into a tumblr and sell copies is no good.

Vote with your jesters and awards if you agree.

EDIT-

Thank you all for your supportive messages. It has brought me tears of joy that there is still love for the Original Greek Mythology out there, by lots and lots of people. It's this universe I was raised with and seeing people trying to protect it, is great!

Why only this game anger you so much? There are thousands of thousands of media in the world that use different mythologies in versions, to put it mildly, very-very far from the original source; sometimes so far that I begin to wonder why they even use it. While Supergiant at least maintains some kind of ambience, while many others, including Hollywood, don't even do that. Strange to blame only one studio, then you have to blame everyone.

What lens are you looking at this game through where you only see a couple male characters, lol...

Hades, Moros, Apollo, Zeus, Poseidon, Hercules, Odysseus, Hephaestus, Narcissus, Chronos, Schelemeus, Hypnos, Charon, Hermes, Icarus ...

I probably missed some and the game is early access so there will likely be more to come..

Let's make a game like this but based on Japanese mythology. All of a sudden changing all of the characters would be problematic wouldn't it?

Why would that be problematic exactly?

They've gone even further with it this time. I love their blackface on Hestia.. lol. Or whoever the old black granny is.

It was also done in Hades 1, take Ares for example. Seems like now it's more overt. Personally not buying Hades 2 because of it. I'm sure it'll still do great, but no need for me to support it when there are so many other great games out there.

Dude, some people couldn't even handle a white guy playing a Japanese instrument for Ghost of Tsushima theme, despite that guy being one of the few (if not the only) living masters of that instrument.

What do you mean "no lisps"?

there are threads complaining about the strong women in the game, as if for so long, strong women have always existed. but again, for so long, in the media women are depicted as the weak ones.
is it such an issue that men can be feminine and not force toxic masculinity onto them? you're acting as if every men has only masculine features, and women only feminine ones.

Ignoring strong female leads in media during the previous century is misogynistic.
We have literally had strong female leads in film since the 1930s. Stop trying to gaslight people.

I am sorry, but I am not gaslighting anyone, nor denying there weren't any strong female characters ever since then, that was not my intent. what I meant to say was they were often portrayed as one dimensional or the damsel-in-distress, with some patriarchal ideal.
then why do people complain to this day when a woman is depicted as strong (but not in a manner which pokes fun at men, making them seem weak)?
