very good person trying to be good and doesnt mind being aggressive/combative when need be with great writing
I will say that Mel is absolutely not a Mary Sue though.
But I guess it makes sense that this one is more serious given the different story setups.
But I wouldn't say that dialogue or interactions played a big part in either of the games for me, so it's not really that big of a detriment IMO.
The stakes between the two games are different with Zagreus being a more personal one yet having no grander threat while for Melinoe both the fate of the Greek Gods and her family are on the line.
Zagreus had that untamed rebellion which was very fun since he was against his father.
But since this time is a woman figure in charge, Hecate, then Melione is a meek tame student who just wants to please her and get stronger.
Even her fight against her "superior" is boring, while Hades dies in a gruesome pool of blood, Hecate just dresses up again and pushes her to move on.
Have you already completed the entire game to judge her character? Really all of it??
I mean seriously - there is an incredible amount of story (text) in this game.
If I didn’t like the first game and just passed by, I could absolutely easily say that Zag is mary sue too, because he’s just another "cool dude superhero with a sword".
