Nectar Gifts and the +1 heart

When I gift a nectar to the various people, it always shows a +1 heart, but my health pool isn't getting bigger. Where is the +1 heart showing?

That heart is their relationship/affection level for you, not your health.

That's not related to your health pool, that's your relation level with the guy your giving stuff who's getting bigger

How long until you can check your relationship level? I have given out many gifts but I don't want to start giving out duplicates until I can track what I've done already. Hmm maybe that's how you unlock it though.

You eventually get access to a recipe that lets you make a book that shows you relationship levels and little bits of information about the characters.

Alright, thank you. The trigger for that might be giving out a second nectar to somebody. I'm pretty far now. like 8 hours in.
