Why even bother arguing about wheelchair gods? That will probably be the least woke thing in the game.

I'll throw my two cents in here. If Super Giant can manage to release this game without:

- A trans character with dialogue dumps about how trans they are

- A gay character that deliberately extemporizes about their sexuality

- A one dimensional white guy who's only purpose is to mansplain/belittle a strong empowered female character only to get humiliated later on

- A white guy who's only purpose is to fail at whatever he attempts so a strong empowered female can save him

- A bunch of shoehorned in dialogue directly addressing current social issues such as "pronouns", the "patriarchy", and "toxic masculinity"

If Super Giant can stop themselves from forcing any of those into this game, I'll buy it just as I did the first. The moment I get a whiff of any of the above, this game goes into the garbage.

Frankly, there shouldn't be any logical reason for the gods to be overly sexist or misogynistic to each other. They have superpowers that aren't tied to their genders in any meaningful way. In games more grounded in reality, I would find a slim little woman beating up a man twice her size to be nonsensical, but in a game like this it's easy to suspend belief as they're literally deities. What I can't overlook is a bunch of ancient gods caring about 2024 social issues.

And that's a massive shame, because while there were gay relationships and some other things in the first title that might be considered "woke", they were handled subtly and didn't feel forced or preachy. I just doubt any developer willing to include such things in 2024 is capable of not beating their audiences over the head with them.

I doubt that. So far SGG has shown that they have writers that can tell a good story without hamfisting tropes into it like a lot of modern media.
Hades 1 didn't have it, and SGG hasn't laid off a load of people or have been bought by some soulless publisher. (They actually grew the team to a whopping 25... :O)

They did pretty well with the first game not shoving that into your face so I have high hopes for them here. Thanatos and Zag being clear past lovers but not being shoved into your face like you have to accept it into your very being was a well done way of it and I wish more media did that. We get it, you want gay/trans/fat/skinny WHATEVER inclusions that's fine but don't make it so that you can't go one frame without seeing it and being told about it

Yes yes. Why would a game about GREEEK GODS include sex, sexism, or homosexuality. I take it you haven't taken 6th grade social studies yet?
