I love the game. Zero complaints beyond the Chaos redesign. The original Chaos design was other-worldly; it gave off an inhuman feeling with its design. It was creative, original, and - most importantly - "otherly". This new design threw away Chaos' identity in favor of making them attractive. Like don't get me wrong - chaos be looking thicc - but that's not what Chaos is meant to be and honestly the design just feels generic, boring, and not very thoughtful. The character's name is literally Chaos - so why are they dressed in such an elegant, clean, and orderly way; suit and all.

The design honestly feels like it wouldn't feel out of place in a modern romance visual novel. I really don't know why they thought it was important to make Chaos something to thirst over.

I don't like the design as much, but I respect the concept. Chaos is constantly being born and reborn, and we've caught them past their elder form from the first game, straight into adulthood. By wearing clothes instead of purely being a weird bony flesh thing, you get the impression that Chaos' time with Zagreus and Nyx has changed them to become more human, more personable.

These are Greek gods, and not a single one of them looks Greek. The art style has gone in a horrific direction from the first game. Scylla looks like a literal clown, for instance.

you "enjoyed" Hades one and you are gonna go and say they made the characters ugly ? are you blind or what ? the artstyle stayed the same. And if you pull up the characters side by side they all look the same or some even "hotter" go rant in your "sweet baby inc detected" group and stop spreading ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ here

I was a bit taken aback by the redesign at first, but now I like it. Chaos looks on the surface less chaotic, as if they have moved away a bit from absolute chaos to be able to exert more influence (like the stone) because they are not amused that their daughter's been taken after getting back in touch.

I also hate when woke stuff is VERY badly pushed in your face (eternals, captain marvel, last of us 2, etc...)

But people are so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ridiculous. Here is a comparison of some of the gods.

https://gamerant.com/best-god-design-changes-in-hades-2-technical-playtest/

Aphrodite is still sexy, the difference is her pose was flirty in the first, and more "regal" in the second.
Still looks "godly" to me, don't see any overt "wokeness."

Artemis is still sexy, but I do prefer her old look more then her new look. Here old look gives more of a "hunter" feel. Her new one feels generic.
Still looks "godly" to me, don't see any overt "wokeness."

Zeus, still sexy. But I definitely preferred his old pose more then his new pose. The use of shading and the closer body just felt more "godly" then the new pose.
Still looks "godly" to me, don't see any overt "wokeness."

Poseidon, still sexy. His new look is superior to his old look 100% as far as I am concerned.

Demeter, still powerful old women. I like the pose much better in the new version. But i prefer the blues and accessories of the old version...
Still looks "godly" to me, don't see any overt "wokeness."

Hermes, still sexy. The old design better represented that he was the god of travel and the messenger of the gods. While I don't hate the new design, it makes him feel like he isn't moving much.
Still looks "godly" to me, don't see any overt "wokeness."

As for chaos, while I prefer the old look, the new look absolutely makes sense from a lore point of view given what chaos is trying to do. It also still very chaotic and weird.

Now as for Hestia and Hephaestus --
I actually like their designs a lot, but this is the ONE thing I can see that might actually be "woke."
That said, the quality of the game, and the fact that I really like their designs means that they don't actually bother me like Last of Us 2 and the eternals...

Hades 2 is no more "woke" then Hades 1 was...

So what exactly is the issue here beyond a bunch of babies that see "wokeness" in anything and everything.

Chaos can change their appearance because they're chaos.

They don't conform to one specific look. They can choose how they want to appear. There's nothing crazy about that, tbh.

Bigots are gonna have a problem with the game's aesthetics. They can't help themselves.

Ya I noticed a lot of people have this inner twitter desire to vent at brands when they have a bad day.. Like I have seen severe addicts who show signs of abuse, and their post history is full and I mean literally only aggressive angry nitpicking, usually at known forums that lock posts instead of actually handling moderation.
It's like wild when you find a few who are not only toxic; but just target games you know they won't like with overwhelming negative or mixed. it's pretty messed up subculture imo.

Both sides are doing it (venting hardcore and throwing "verbal daggers").

How did you get through the first one then?))
Really though, the previous one had a certain balance between inclusivity and normality, while this one wandered too deep into some ***♥♥♥♥.

Tis true :devilskiss: devils advocates enjoy either slice.
but that's the issue with using a 2 sided word to act as a sense of freedom.
Woke; to wake up, everyone does.
Freedom everyone wants.
Oppression no one wants.
Challenge everyone needs.
Free will Everyone should have.

Woke is just a 4 chan word now that people have their freedom and representation.

If I had to guess, the trolls are afraid they will soon run out of hate so they create new centers of symbolic double sided hate.

And the Special people who want to be something will be ..

Normal
and bored
and average
and bland

The reality is diversity to a degree is fine.
In art that's called selective variety, as long as people are not being gay bashed or segregated outside of a historical or story (inside universe) significant message aka for world-building ONLY..

I don't see anyone really being oppressed by not being mentioned.

I find people who force their narrative into every story just means they better have a damn good story, great dialogue, and universe fitting non-political mess.

Or, at the least not be a character built on being a unwanted 4th wall antagonist while trying to be a protagonist.

Simple as character development vs ad's

People need to keep their political ideologies and agendas out of our media; and save those SBI injections for Art Based Political only Genres.

What do you mean, she's the most magestically boring character of all time. The Chaos change is everything anyone needs to know about the underlying changes from Hades 1 to 2.

All shallow no substance.

Well said (not sarcastic, in case it sounds semi sarcastic because it's a super short answer).
Folks complaing about "politics and agendas in media" are disingenuous. You're only complaining because artists made decisions that don't reinforce your idea of the status quo. You're hostile toward the fact that different people have different perspectives, and those perspectives can and do make their way into the art and media they create.

If you want art and media that reinforces your flattened view of the world, you can find it. When you try to control what other people do with their creativity, you just show how fragile and controlling you are.
