It only repeats on a few runs and goes away after that. It's even hinted in dialogue. She will show up later on further into the game again as you progress, and so on ...
I know about that. It's still just bad game design. Why won't she insta-kill us right on the spot then? Same effect, but without wasting my time.
Heading to a new area where you don't know the enemies and especially the bosses should be enough of a handicap without needing some artificial difficulty layered on top of it on X amount of runs before the game lets you progress normally.
If you are good enough it doesn't waste your time, you are just taking more damage, it doesn't change the damage you are doing. If you are good enough, then it's a non-issue.
Also I don't understand sprinting except for enemies designed to force you to do it and the act 3 areas are too big but Eris is the biggest issue. Genuinely kind of raging about my last couple losses because of her.
Ah, yes, "git gud". Also, how many hours in-game it took you to kill both Eris and Cronos? With proofs and video where you do full no-hit run, please.
Regarding your argument — was there instant knowlege upload in your head about all attack patterns and phase specifics from some heavenly gutgamer source, without any need to watch and learn? Because for us, mortals, there is no such source, only practical expirience. And there was zero learning opportunities while under effect of that curse, because you take a lot of extra damage from every enemy on the way, so Cronos can execute your remaining health with one or two strikes.
Same. Got two extra runs to Cronos with her curse, just moved away from keyboard every time. After that? Man is dead within 4 attempts. Could be even faster, but I wanted to try these torches (that was a huge mistake).
I was annoyed by it, and I was annoyed at HER, and that's literally the point. There are 10 thousand other things you can be doing, you don't need to beat the main story immediately. She stops doing it after the third time, if you are bored with the game because you aren't allowed to beat it on your third go-around, you are crazy.
