Worse artstyle

I don't have the game yet, but Ive seen portraits and some footage. why is the artstyle way worse in this one?

Because I really liked the first one and was hoping to enjoy the sequel. Im waiting to hear if the writing is good.

Haven't played yet but all the chars Ive seen so far look basically the same or even better than 1. Poseidon, artemis, aphrodite... and new stuff like melinoe, apollo and selene look absolutely sick.

Some of them look good, but I really hate the changes to artemis and aphrodite.

I have seen some really bad textures and background paintings that look like made in MS paint, I really hope those are just placeholders. And yeah I agree about the characters, some of them just look hideous and bizarre

Yeah, agree. I first really noticed it with Zeus... Like his arm is completely unrendered (no highlights or shading, just a flat color) and his armor looks unfinished too. I don't know if they're placeholder, but I hope so. Charon got a major downgrade too.

Charon is definitely just a placeholder. A lot of the art in general is probably still in-progress, it's easy to tell, and might be touched up before full release, who knows.
