Was asking myself the same thing with Horizon: Forbidden West. Then i did a quick search of the developers behind the game...
Now i know why games are designed the way they are these days.

I've seen only one in-game illustration of Aphrodite for Hades 2, and she definitely looks better in this new game. In the old game she looked part female, part male, part horse (face). From what I've seen she looks better in Hades 2.

Can't agree with the ugly part, but I prefer portrets from the first game more.

Main character is nice though.

All crossroads are kinda bland. It's understandable, but still. Too low on colors.
