problems using controller
I genuinely can't tell if my main attack button is broken or its the game itself? sometimes when i start a run I'd have to press my dodge/sprint button to get the attack going but then it immediately acts as if I'm holding the button down. Is anyone else having this problem??

That's a weird bug. In case you haven't already, I would suggest you to post this in the Technical Support @ Bug Reporting forum

What's your controller? I have played with a PS4 and PS5 controller and no problems. I used a Switch one also but it changed where somethings where done and i haven't used it anymore

I had an issue last night on xbox controller. Rumble wasn't working, button presses sometimes did nothing. I restarted the game and the issue was fixed.

1. List your controller.
2. Is the firmware of the controller up to date?
3. Are you using a template that the community made to play with the controller?
4. Have you disconnected the controller and removed it from your bluetooth devices and then try connecting it again and see if that helps?

Many questions can be asked. It could also be the controller itself. I had many controllers' buttons get locked up and shows up as it being held down. If you can't fix this yourself or have a warranty replacement, buy a new controller from Best Buy. Get the warranty as well so next time it does happen, you return the broken one, put another warranty for 20 dollars, and then you have a cheap controller you can replace for 20 bucks forever (within the two year warranty for any controller but this one specifically is for PS5 controllers). Hope some of this helps. Let us know

I had a similar issue with the attack button, so it's not a hardware issue but a bug with the game. Using a brand new Dualsense Edge controller. The issue went away with a restart though, and has yet to happen again.

I've actually been having a lot of weird controller issues since the last patch. Actually was right about to beat Chronos again when the game started weirdly moving me without any input, making me walk right out of the safe zone during that one attack. At first I thought maybe it was just drift, even though it's a fairly new DS5 controller. But I've since tested it on multiple other games, and run it through some diagnostic software, and the problem ONLY happens in Hades II. It's honestly pretty bad, and I've tried starting the game with the controller plugged in, turning various settings on and off. It's made the game unplayable for me so I guess I'll wait until they patch it.

On my "Xbox clone controller", sometimes the 'A' button would randomly press. It's VERY rare, but when it happened that one time, I selected a boon I didn't want to!

I was fighting chrono and I kept losing my controller! I made it all the way there with no problems and it was like my controller was losing connection and I could of killed him but b/c of this I died. Seriously sucks! Wired controller to so how the hell am I losing connection. Could this be a bug?

I had a lot of issues with dropped inputs, but I can't say if it was the game because I was using a wireless controller. I've switched to a wired one now and haven't noticed any lost inputs yet.

that happened to me when i first started playing - regardless of what xbox controller i was using (i had 3) i would put them in different spots on the usb hub - same result. the entire thing would become unresponsive - even after i closed my game. wasn't just attack for me, was everything - any button (including directional) would hold and never let go even after the game was forcibly crashed. i 5-second fixed it by unplugging my controller and plugging it back in. it fixed then came back when i started playing again.

i ultimately fixed it by removing the extension cable i was using and moved my chair in closer, making me think it was either the cable or the drain on power? i dunno. i dismissed it even though it didn't make sense that it was the problem.. right until i saw this post.

thank you for posting this, cuz now i know i wasn't the only one with the problem. i sincerely appreciate that.
