Tips for guaranteeing legendary boons?

I've spent almost 3 day farming posedeidons legendary boon and its driving me nuts, i have maxed rerolls but for almost 20+ runs the boon has eluded me.

I used to pick the podeseidon trinket on start but then i realized it only guarantees a podeidon boon on stage 1. I started restarting on stage 1 repeatedly until i get a stage 1 podeidon since the trinket will gurantee a boon on map 2 post guardian 1. I'm going insane as ive spend 100+ rerolls and uncountable hours trying to finish this prophecy, any help is appreciated.

Maybe try Vow of Forsaking?
The one which removes the boons you didn't pick from the pool.
The idea is to exhaust the pool of boons for the god so it would only have the legendary. Need to be careful with what you don't take, though.
They say they changed it in the latest patch somehow to not make it easier to get legendary boons, but I'm not sure how that could work.

I'm gonna second Vow of Forsaking. While they patched it so you aren't guaranteed Duos and Legendaries after running out of Boons, it's still great for hunting either because you can thin the Boon pool and more likely get what you want.

Also. consider re-rolling miniboss doors since it'll always end up as a God Boon.

Having just had a Vow of Forsaking run where I struggled to get the Apollo/Zeus duo, I think the mechanic is that if you're down to less than 3 non-legendary non-duo boons, and have literally even one other option, the good stuff just... doesn't appear in the final list of less than 3, even if you otherwise meet the requirements.

Some things that maybe help:
- Chaos boon with extra boon rarity,
- filling core boon slots (attack, special, cast, sprint, magic),
- arcana that increase rarity; according to the description it shouldn't, since they're for rare and epic qualities, but who knows.

sadly last patch had this "Vow of Forsaking: no longer helps ensure you quickly get Duo and Legendary Boons" so that strat is no longer actually a viable way to ensure legendary or duo boons

and how they could make it less effective is litterally to have it not give u legendary or duo boons guranteed even if those are the only once still in the pool by keeping them to a % chance to appear over them having to appear as the game has no other boons to choose from

Honestly I would try the trial with Hestia and Poseidon- I got both their legendaries during it and I barely had to try. So that would be my advice!

when was that a thing?. i've gotten to the point where there was no boons plenty of times, you get 90 gold when it happens (which doesn't scale with any +% gold) and legendaries/duo was never guaranteed. unless were talking like a day or 2 after release

It used to be that if you met the requirements for the duos/legendaries, you'd be guaranteed appropriate duo/legendary boons once you had fewer than 3 other boons left from Vow of Forsaking. Now one of the 3 slots has to roll for duo/legendary rarity as well. So it can still happen, but less often.

It happened a TON with Duos since those are so easy to get, and sometimes with Legendaries by coincidence. I still recommend using Vow of Forsaking, you just have to play around it with rerolls to work it to your advantage.

Unfortunetly i cant replay the trials but ill try the vow like everyone os suggesting. Just curious, what happens when you exhaust the boons for a god?

Its a weird hypothetical because i assume it would offer "replacements" at a higher rarity ,for example, any strike, flourish. So what would happen of you get all "lock out" boons from lets say GOD A, where they no longer get offered by gods b, c, d, etc. Get them at heroic level, so they cant be replaced, then permenently remove boons with vow, which i assume would prevent thay god from spawning, but then forcing it to via their trinket?

Just tested it, a common boon called "spare wealth" was the only option, with the effect:
"Spend 90(gold symbol) as desired"
Not sure if it comes in other rarities, probably not.

Anyways I got the legendary boon on the first try with the vow, after 3 days of failing without it, thanks to everyone who recommended it.
