Any mod for this?
Anyone knows if there is a mod to replace the arbitrary 'present year' art and models of this game with something more respectful to the actual Greek culture?

The game seems fun but I can't support the racist injection of 'diversity' or the appropriation of Greek culture to serve someone's political bent, And before you say "how is it racist"? Well imagine for a second what a hysteria there would be if we made a game about Zulu gods, but 'reimagined' them as white.

DEI is just a mispelling of DIE, and that's what any corporation who embraces it deserves.

Western devs aren't interested in being respectful to the source. They just want to tick as many boxes as possible. FFS we even have a Black character with vitiligo raceswapping a traditionally beautiful White women in Hestia. They're doing it on purpose too.

Yes, they are doing it on purpose. And when it's something that investors like Blackrock and Vanguard demand, it's impossible to fathom how they can seriously believe that they're doing anything for the good of mankind.

Tell me more about your deep understanding of ancient Greek culture, because it seems very much like you've based your understanding of what is Greek on media produced by white westerners. And surely as someone passionate about respecting Greek culture you've studied and researched the complex and diverse variety of people that made up the population.

Here's a statue of Hestia from 470 BC. Do you consider this "media produced by white westerners"?

lol
They're artistic interpretations of transcendent deities that never existed on Earth. This is very different from race swapping a real historical figure. Even ignoring that point I can't think of a single example of blatant race swapping in this game off top of my head. Someone mentioned Hestia but really didn't interpret her as being black in the racial sense. To me it seemed obvious that she was black/grey in the same way Chronos is black/grey. The people getting upset over this in this game are the problem, not the game or the devs.

Nice, a Roman statue. I think it's hilarious that you used this since Rome took the Greek gods and changed them to their own standards. You pretty much prove a point against OP showing that most people have a misconception of how Hestia would have looked because they go off of Roman depictions, which bastardized many of the Greek gods.

I mean... It's still closer to pure greek mythology than SBI-clones in 2024..? At least show some greek paintings of black gods to strengthen your argument! I'm not even baiting, there's someone that posted something like that (paintings) a week ago or something. It WAS on a black canvas, so it was arguable BUT it's still better than just saying "nope, this is a roman god!"

I mean Rome took Greek culture and made it it's own, so their depictions of Greek gods were Romanticized. Closest we have are these vase paintings because most actual Ancient Greek art was destroyed.

You could say, "she's clearly white here." In which case I'd say, "by that logic, so are her clothes, the chair, and the branch. They didn't have colors, so who's to really say at that point. I was just pointing out that a Roman depiction of something Greek is pretty much saying you're fine with bastardization of the culture anyways.
