Hades II

Hades II

Should I wait or buy the game already?
Loved the first one, second one seems great but I prefer waiting for games to get out of early access to get the full content cause I cant stand waiting for more when hooked

But I hear it will take a long time for the full game to released. Is the game have enough content to take the bullet and buy or just wait it out for more?

The scope is bigger than hades 1, but not everything is quite there despite how there's a lot of content that's polished already that could last someone 100 hours or so if they really dig into it.

Current amount of content is comparable to the amount Hades 1 released with, and that's with the main story being unable to be progressed. As far as bosses and general run-generation elements there's MORE than what Hades 1 released with. If you don't mind being stuck in story limbo until full release it's 100% worth getting into right now.

you will have to wait for the rest of the content if you get it now

But for a lot of people there could easily be close to 100 hours of gameplay with what's there already. The scope is bigger than hades 1 and there's a lot of content that's polished already.

Ah than I guess il wait.

Loved the story of Hades and would kill me more waiting for it after starting, so I guess its best for me to wait

I've bought it, played 40 hours, and am now going to set it aside for a few months, or maybe until full release.

I have nearly 30 hours, beat all the bosses, now it's becoming kind of grindy but I don't mind.
However I think i'll set it aside for now and come back after full release so I have more things to do.

wait.

Nah, just download the first game again. It's the same but far better in every way. Hades 2 is the most disappointing game in the past 10 years

If you loved 1st game and plan to play 2nd anyway, you could buy it now and wait for release (like a pre-order). EA will be upgraded to v1.0 for free but there is a chance that price will be raised after release, so you don't lose anything buying now.

If your measure of a complete experience is winning your first run: Sure! I's already really fun to do that!
If it's to climb Pacts of Punishment difficulty: Maybe! This game has such a system but it's not as fun as it's going to be later (we're missing Extreme Measures, for one).
If it's to experience the story and characters: No! We're waiting on dialogue and questlines and the game doesn't have an ending yet.

There's enough content to justify buying it now, but playing it early definitely has it's drawbacks at a lot of systems feel unfinished, story is definitely unfinished and even the art for the characters is unfinished, with some looking like really early drafts of their concept art.

Having played some of the EA of Hades, by the time I got my hands on it, it was more finished than Hades 2 currently is. It's going to be awhile before they iron everything out. Even for gameplay purposes, the weapons could use some reworking and Selene (New Calls basically) doesn't really fit well into the entire game. I'd hope they rehaul those issues before release.

I've got 42hrs on the game and I'm still enjoying it.

There's roughly 40 hours of content in here before it starts getting boring. Which isn't bad by any means, but I'd still recommend waiting for a patch or 2.
