Zagreus would be for the sake of being easier to make the second character since they have a lot of things already done, plus you cannot deny that his voice actor, Logan, also composer at SGG since the very beginning did a phenomenal job bringing his character to life.
It could be another new one or another female character as well. It doesn't really matter. We are talking SGG here and I'm sure whatever they do will be great.
I for one really liked the design of Zagreus' sister and I think her personality will be just as good as Zagreus'.
My thoughts on having a second character is that of SGG always go bigger and better with their new games, this is their first sequel and Hades one is just soooo good that if the second one doesn't have something to really differentiate it, it'll feel like Hades DLC.
The ideia of having 2 characters therefore is to make the number 2 have another meaning other than just a sequel. Direct impact on the gameplay and add even more variety that goes beyond new aspects to weapons.
It would also be stupid because then the game could have co-op and that would be stupid because it would be stupid. Good point Cyiel.
