It's good

(I initially intended to rewrite this review after having completed all the other routes since I initially wrote this after having only completed Yoshino's route but after completing Mako's route I felt the need to rewrite this review. I will rewrite it again when I have completed all the other routes though.)

Keep in mind that I have not played a Yuzusoft visual novel prior to playing this and that I am playing the completely uncut version of the game for the full experience. I cannot speak for the normal cut version.

This visual novel was a pretty fun and wholesome experience. The story isn't exactly something to write home about but it's clearly not supposed to be and for what it's going for it manages to be decently engaging. That being said though, this game still does have it's moments where it genuinely does leave you feeling a bit emotional. This game is definitely more about the characters and the cute interactions between them however. The characters aren't super deep or anything but they are pretty well-written and the dialogue between them is pretty charming and funny. The art is also really well done and whilst the music isn't amazing or anything, it does its job of setting the tone pretty well. Honestly the best way to describe this game would be to say that it isn't too grandiose or intricate, but what it does accomplish, it accomplishes well.

I will say though, I know what I got myself into when I downloaded the cut content but I do feel it was a little excessive. This wasn't a problem for Mako's route since I felt they handled those scenes way better, having it actually add to the connection between the characters, but for Yoshino's route it was a little excessive. The very end of the game does kinda just become a porn game and whilst that's not necessarily a problem, it was a little more than I was expecting. Luckily its right at the end though and it doesn't really last too long. I wouldn't want to have played without it but I do wish they would've toned it down a little. You might like that or you might hate that but it's worth pointing out anyway.

I wouldn't recommend this game if you're looking for a masterclass story or deep and intricate characters, but if you just want a fun light-hearted visual novel then this will definitely fit the bill. That being said though the game still has it's more emotional moments if you still want that.

Overall, doesn't try to go for much but manages to do what it does go for pretty well, 8.5/10
