Mod Removal Troubleshooting
Mod Removal Troubleshooting

This is in the event of errors or crashes related to mods, view the steps below to clear your game automatically or manually.

Important Notes

Mod.io can now uninstall mods by unsubscribing in-game.

Serialization/Corrupt Data Error means OUTDATED/BROKEN mods or the presence of PAKCHUNK20. Delete both of those.

Method 0: Crash Reporter

1) When the game crashes, select ONLY "delete mod data."

Method 1: Unsubscribing

1) Select launch Ready or Not and choose "safemode."

2) Navigate to Modio from the main menu.

3) Login and go to subscribed mods.

4) Unsubscribe from mods not updated for DECEMBER 10TH or later. You can also unsubscribe from all to check later.

Method 2: Finding Crash Reporter

0) This step IS NOT the clear mod/save data option on launch, that option WILL reset all your progress including MAPS, COSMETICS, etc.

1) Right click Ready or Not on your library and under "manage" select "browse local files."

2) Navigate to Engine > Binaries > Win64
- You know you have done this correct if you see "CrashReporter.exe" on top.

3) Open CrashReporter.exe and select ONLY "delete mod data."

Method 3: Nuclear Clear Mods/Save Data

0) This step will delete ALL PROGRESS including your maps and cosmetic unlocks.

1) Launch Ready or Not and select "clear mods/save data"

2) Select yes, and then confirm again.

I should've looked at this before unistalling the game, oof.
You should change the name as I thought it would remove the modes when saving the data. Delete the slash and replace it with an “and”.
I dont have the Pakchunk-20 file in my pak folder. I also only downloaded one mod that everyone says works on their pc and still I get this serialization/corrupt data error.

it might be a good idea to make this a global pin if it's possible. it might increase the chances of people seeing it before they make a post since a lot of people like to post in general discussion.

This is linked to and partially mentioned in the known issues & fixes thread on main, there's only so much I can do if people don't want to view/read threads themselves. It is also marked as (please read)

Uninstall the mod.

Other Mods dated Dec 10th or later should work.
