I don’t understand why mods don’t work for Ready or Not when using GeForceNow. Yes, I get that using mod.io requires the game to be restarted and it ♥♥♥♥♥ up your stream, ending your session…yadda yadda….i guess my question is: how, when playing Insurgency Sandstorm on GFN, I have zero issues downloading and using mods? Even when it does require a restart, the mod immediately loads next time entering the game. And guess what mod support is used for Insurgency? You got it, mods.io . Just like Ready or Not, it is located on the main menu, and all mods that have been downloaded (previously) begin re-downloading and extracting as soon as you startup. Every single time. Takes only a few seconds. I dont understand why Ready or Not hasn’t figured out how to do this? Am I missing something here?

The difference is not with modio, but engines. Both games use Unreal Engine, but by default Unreal Engine is not built for mods to be proactively applied while downloaded, they have to be processed when you restart the game. Insurgency has likely tweaked their engine to allow this, which is possible, meanwhile Ready or Not has not done so since it would require substantial changes to the starting process to my understanding.

It's not that it's an impossible thing, it's just not something they've confirmed as something they plan to do, assuming they will do it.
