Download speed cap?

I'm convinced I'm the only person who gets their mod download speed capped at 3MB/s as I haven't been able to find anyone else with this issue online or within my friend group. Is there anyone else out there that has this issue or any ideas on how to fix it?

Nexus Mods does download cap you (I don't know the specific #) if you do not pay for premium. I don't believe Modio has that constraint, but it also can be finicky.

I know about the Nexus mod download cap at 3MB/s as I've paid for premium before, but I've downloaded all the mods for the game from the mod.io menu and my downloads are always capped at 3MB/s and my friends don't have a cap

I understand, I was just curious whether anyone else has had this issue or has any ideas on how to resolve it.

Mod.io always ran full-speed for me (~50MB/s) which i've confirmed just now in SnowRunner (since the implementation in RoN is still fairly... well, it's bad).

They do not have the same CDN penetration as Valve has with their services (Workshop included) so depending on number of circumstances you might get sub-optimal speeds.

Yup same exact issue I'm having, my friends download at normal speeds though...

At mod.io, one can download and install the mods manually, avoiding the potential issues with the in-game mod function. I don't know if the site is as up-to-date as Nexus, but...
