Is it possible to re-enable the ability to earn achievements after installing mods? Need help w/ this

TLDR: The Medal of Honor achievement is stuck at 13/18 for me when it should say 15/18. Can I fix this or have I permanently ♥♥♥♥♥♥ myself over?

For context, I've been trying to get S rank on all maps. After a while I installed a suspect AI improvement mod, and although the score would always say "Unofficial score - mod detected" I would still earn progress towards that achievement. I could also unlock other achievements as well.

Then I installed a mod for a weapon skin. This mod shouldn't have affected gameplay at all but once I got S rank on Valley of the Dolls after that, progress didn't count towards that achievement. In a panic I uninstalled the mod (even went into the game's files to do so per a different post), reinstalled the AI improvement mod, then after a while got S rank on that map again but it still didn't alter the achievement progress. Cut to today, I got S rank on Neon Tomb but no achievement progress was made still.

Would launching the game in safe mode fix this? Or is there a way to go into the game's files and do something about this? I want this achievement, but given how broken the AI is by default idk if I can get S rank on the harder maps as is without ripping my hair out. Does anyone know of any fixes or am I ♥♥♥♥♥♥?

Sorry to hear of your situation. Based on the info provided, there is no reason for the progress to stop. I also use a few mods which haven't halted any achievement progression - an AI mod and a couple of weapon mods, like you, and also, like you, get the "unofficial score" message.

Read a few things that say you should be "online" in Steam (not invisible) and that maybe, while you got the "S" rank in-game, something stopped the achievement, like perhaps an office was incapacitated or something?

Sorry...lame thoughts on this but something does seem to be wrong on your end, as my experience echoes yours in terms of mods, but I'm getting all of my achievements.

Are you playing in practice or commander? Practice is a bit sketchy for unlocking achievements sometimes. Commander works most of the time.

Mods don't affect achievements, just the mode you are playing.

I have been playing in invisible mode some of the time. Can't remember for sure if I was when I got the S ranks or not, but I was definitely in online mode today when I got S on Neon Tomb. I think that's worth a shot though, keeping it always online.

I've also switched to multiplayer but playing solo in a friends-only lobby. I've had too many issues with the friendly AI dying on me, or having them kill suspects on accident with a non-lethal loadout. I'm not sure if that change is what caused this or not. Part of me thinks I've made progress on this while playing truly solo, but I can't remember. I think I'll go back with bots just in case.

Practice mostly. Recently I switched to multiplayer but playing solo in a friends-only lobby. I don't remember if I made progress on the achievement or not after making this change, but I'll try going back with bots to see if that fixes anything.

I also haven't tried Commander mode yet, so if that doesn't work I'll give that a go.

You cannot earn achievements in multiplayer, even in a friends-only lobby. If the SWAT AI are causing you to lose runs you can try ordering them to stay at the beginning and soloing yourself.

This fixed it!! I got S on Valley of the Dolls again, this time in single player, and the achievement progress went up to 14/18. Thank you all for your input :)
