You could try to manage your modio from the website. This could actually work better than the UI from the game too. This might fix problem doing it this way initially. Not sure what it could be.
Side question, can you even get into modio from the game or does it just send an error when attempting? If you can still access modio but not sub to anything then you need to log in. Otherwise, try to manage it from the link I gave you. I never tried it but ideally, it should work as it states it can.
Nobody really believes this, but there are a lot of people who say mod.io isn't good or working.
If you know what to do, it's simple, and takes the same work as Nexus, Nexus has questionable ads on their site and ads in the first place. mod.io seems to be popular because it actually likes mods when they don't spam you with ads.
I found a temporary fix which is Deleting the mod io folder from app data but everytime I restart it does the same error again
mod.io is buggy and doesn't allow users to have complete control over what's being installed or uninstalled. Nexus may have ads (that's how it stays free, so who cares?), but the mods are current and are easily managed manually, so you have control over what's happening.
That you didn't tell us the great secret to mod.io means it likely doesn't exist.
