OPTIWAND - real life example.
Here is a real life example of an actual "OPTIWAND" at 0:40 - used by hungarian prison commando.

I like how they've got a cameraman on the prisoner side of the pillow fort so that you can see the borescope from both sides.

I know there is a debate going on about it, so in part this is why I shared it. On police usage:
It might be quite expensive, so I guess there are many police departments who can't afford it, so it is not a common thing. Just like night vision googles. I personally like to play RoN without nvg-s or optiwand, and I also leave battering ram and shield out, because noone will carry those heavy beasts on their back during a whole mission.
About the optiwand in the game: I don't like the model. It is too thick and bulky to get under doors. A different model with a much thiner flexible wand would be much more believable.
And also there should be more doors that are "unpeakable". Only a few types of interior doors allow you to peak under them - basicly any door with a doorstep would prevent peaking under it. I know - gameplay over realism, blah blah, but people tend to forget how useful it is peaking around corners. And by the way it was used this way originally in SWAT3...

The real life LAPD SWAT doesn't use an optiwand I believe but I do remember them in one video using a little remote control ball that had a camera on it. And I recall in the movie SWAT they used a firber optic cable in the bank scene.
