Turn off friendly fire for flashing or using stingers and hitting AI teammates
Lost more then a few S ranks for mentioned above. Finished Neon Tomb was so happy, then boom, friendly fire and i can only assume it was the use of a flash or m203 stinger launcher.

That happened to me lol. Flashbangs dont cause friendly fire penalties. Your team AI is probably the culprit here. They can hit friendlies if you are in their line of sight just like how suspects can accidentally kill civs while blasting at you.

Flashbangs actually cause friendly fire penalties if the team is not using the anti-flash goggles. I discovered it after failing two S ranks in Neon thomb when I noticed that all my team was using gas masks. I didn't have any issue at the next attempt.

AI can't cause penalties to the player (On non-lethal gameplay). They also almost never hit civs when going non-lethal because when civs are standing up they can be shot without any issues whatsoever, and when they have already surrendered, they don't get shot because the AI never aims slightly down, they always shoot in a straight line to their front, unless you're in a ladder or something, but it would be very hard to hit a civ in that situation, and since the AI automatically shouts at standing civs, they are barely ever in the way.

In lethal you can't get penalties either. You can get points deducted for failing an objective, such as when an AI (Swat or suspects) kills a civ accidentally, but you won't get a penalty.

Wow I didnt know that... thanks for letting me know. Too bad I've already S-ranked most maps by myself without using bots(left the at spawn and used them to collect weapons and rescue civs after bringing roder to chaos). Port Hokan and Relapse are the remaining two I haven;t S-ranked. I'll try antiflash and see if it works.

EDIT: NOPE antiflash goggles doesnt work, I still got the friendly fire penalty, so either my team AI flashbanged me because i was wearing NVGS or the stupid AI just shot each other again.........................
