Best all around rifle?
Out of all the rifles and calibers, what's your go to for the most versatile? Factors include armor penetration, stopping power, recoil mitigation.

ARN-18 with JHP, swap to AP if there is more than 1 suspect wearing level 4 armor, currently only on 3 maps

In the Weapons/Mods tab and RifleDmg you can see an overview of all weapons and how they compare to each other.

g3 6mags of ap ammo
i usually run the honey badger because it just so short.

Anything in 7.62 caliber with AP will one tap most hit zones.
The rest is preference how the weapon feels.

But if there is a civilian behind the enemy, you might kill them as well.

the weapon with the least amount of kick so either the ARN or the MK18 i guess (i would use the m16 more if it had less recoil)

G36 then if you want a rifle with low recoil

I am biased towards the MCX only because I own an MCX Spear LT.
I'm partial to the SCAR-L, and ARWC of the AR style.
Remington 870 with Buckshot.

The MCX is a good gun in this game. G36, F90, MCX, Are all S-tier choices for 5.56.

i use G36, F90 and MCX too. My 3 main rifles.
.300 blackout is great, but your fire rate is lower and chance to kill everything behind your target is incredibly high. on maps with loads of civs, you can fail in one shot, its great.

its a risky gun but probably the most fun.

To find out that, I would first go for a preferred cartridge, and then find the best weapon that chambers in that cartridge.

My favorite rifles of each caliber are as follows.

5.56x45mm: Hardest one to choose with the range of weapons, but I would choose something like the G36C, Has the mini sights that you use on your pistols and SMGs with a intermediate cartridge.

If you want a longer range weapon, the best choice would be the SR-16, with the capability to use a high-power scope, which doesn't really have an opportunity to shine anywhere else besides Hide and Seek and maybe Greased Palms.

7.62x51mm: For closer ranges, I prefer the GA51 over the SA-58. since the SA-58 has a ridiculous recoil in comparison.

For longer ranges, the G3A3, since the other full-length rifles have a pretty slow switch speed with similar effectiveness.

.300 Blackout: I generally prefer the LVAR over any other weapon, though I respect the DM4PDW in it's very short length, the shortest rifle in the game. I don't really mess with the ARN much.

7.62x39mm: SLR-47, take it or leave it.
PBS suppressor, mini sights, that's it. Very short gun. Kicks fairly hard.

There is not enough AK variety in this game for my taste. I always liked the idea of taking inspiration from the AK-100 series to give more variety in AK designs and calibers. Having a U.S police force's only AK use a foreign caliber is a strange choice.
