7.62 x 39 is nearly identical to .300 BLK, down to the grain weight and velocity. The metric spec for .300 BLK is 7.62 x 35 and the bullet choices have a better BC (which this game couldn't demonstrate the difference, there's no long range shots).
Short version, they're functionally identical outside of a different chambering/platform availability.
1- Looking identical is one thing, but the 7.62x39' case capacity is 35.6 gr H2O, 300 BLK's 26.5 gr H20 (Althought this vaguely translates into 100 FPS difference since 7.62x39 is an older round and not made within the modern calculations like 300 BLK)
2- 7.62x39 has a larger bullet (not extremely large comparing the two).
if the game sets different stats for 9mm and 45.acp, then it should differentiate these two bullets.
I am not even mentioning how idiotic the armor penetration on 300 BLK is. How can it be better than 5.56, it should be nerfed a long time ago.
I am sure that the above mentioned things needs tweaking but not sure in which way. nerf it, buff it, remake the stats, its up to the dews
This is the problem when you have so many weapons that are the same thing. Most of them end up playing the same any way so weapons either become reskins or their's a clear meta (like how the G36C and F90 have much softer recoil compared to other 5.56 rifles).
