yes
Best for solo play.
I've pretty much only played offline since 1.0 came out, I don't think I've actually played a real MP game as of yet. I just prefer the "control" that the SWAT AI allow and being able to pick what map I want, when I want, with what gear I want.

indubitably

How many maps/how much content is there in this?

Swat 4 had hundreds (through packs) of great maps thanks to modders.

I'd recommend waiting for at least 1-2 major patches before picking up RoN.

SWAT AI is really frustrating as they have OCD over evidence and other unimportant tasks. There's also numerous lingering issues that could really do with a patch.

18 missions, but they're not very radomized and for moronic reason VOID decided to remove all the different game modes.

Fortunately the modding community is pretty active.

As Fret mentioned, there are 18 maps, most of em a lot bigger than SWAT 4 maps (depends if that's a good or a bad thing for you, a good for me.) You can view how many mods there are, but there aren't mega packs like that yet.

yes singleplayer works great and better than joining random lobby if you want to play tactical

if you like broken friendly AI unable to follow simple orders... xD

I'm so confused, some people are saying it's amazing others say ai is useless. It's either amazing or rubbish. Even reviews and Reddit posts are the same split.

Someone is always going to think that they can make a better game and that their decisions and preferences are universally the best. Tactical games get people like that a lot. But this game has great singleplayer. AI can always be improved(that can be said about all games) and not everybody is going to agree on AI but it is better than most fps games. Its great to finally have ai teammates again. Games dont do friendly ai as much anymore. Don't let trolls fool you. Its a good game. Mods list is still growing. Good luck finding single player games like these.

if you get it on DEEP discount, and you should try the AI overhaul mod you can get from the main menu. It's better than the trash base AI. Barely.

:47_thumb_up: Worth it for singleplayer. I wish there were more games like this.
