It's pretty clear that they probably did this to increase play time, but for people like me who do not enjoy being forced to grind a game, especially a Game that I have been playing for awhile (on another account) and have grown accustomed to in a certain way, but that is just me. They took the dynamics out of the Game a lot when they took the option to do whatever you want to away. I haven't tested just opening a private Lobby in Multiplayer yet but I shouldn't have to in order to go back to the way I am used to the Game being.
They said that "Narrow testing and narrative conflicts" is what made them make this change, I however am having a hard time fully grasping how or why that would be an issue and why they couldn't just separate the two play styles.
