This game worth it solo?
On the fence. I think games like ghost recon/rainbow six from back in the day are mad cool. I am that into ultra-realism shooters, however I was able to appreciate games like Escape from Tarkov, from how immersive and real it felt during a fight (and tense).

I don't regularly play Tarkov, but if Ready or Not has that same level of realism and immsersiveness, I am easily sold on that alone... just if its totally still a good/fun game solo.

Thanks!

I wouldn't compare Tarkov and Ready or Not, they don't really have much in common besides trying to be realistic in their own ways.

The game is mostly singleplayer anyway, that being that 2 of the 3 modes are singleplayer only. Instead of playing with others, you will be leading an AI team that plays better than most random users anyway. Commander has you managing their stress and their traits/perks, practice mode is the default/'vanilla' mode, and then you could always play online with random users if you wished.

I play it solo without the bots. The AI neds some work, they're either really dumb or super human, but there are mods to help with that. Recommend downloading Visceral Blood and an AI mod for the best experience. There are also a bunch of maps to download via the in-game mod menu or nexus.

Visceral Blood adds some new animations when you shoot someone in an artery (neck, shoulder, groin area) and updates a lot of the blood/wound effects. It looks a lot better than the base game. No crack for AI is pretty good but I feel like that makes them almost too easy.

Swat and Suspect AI Overhaul is the one I like. Or you can go on nexusmods and download some AI mods from there that are also pretty good.

Gunfighter Improvement Mod is another mod that improves the firearms and makes them a bit more realistic.

I heard astral's revamped AI is good as well, would you recommend that over no crack? I want a challenge too, of course. Unless vanilla AI is adequate enough.

Yeah the Astral AI is really good! I think that's what I'm using right now. I wouldn't go above "standard" for the Astral AI, they get a bit unfair with their aim snap. The Vanilla AI has a bit too much awareness and Aim snap in my opinion. I know it's hard to replicate human reaction time, but ain't no crackhead 360 no scoping me as soon as I round the corner.

Another good mod to pair with Astral is "General Quality of Life Fixes". There are some bugs as far as AI hiding spots and stuff that that fixes.

If you want to play without the bots you can host a "Multiplayer Friends Only" match and that allows you to go through the levels solo.

I only play solo and I love it. It's such a cool game, it's the most interesting fps I've ever played. The AI of your single player bots can be very dumb but usually it works well. I'd recommend this game to anyone who likes rainbow six siege. I bet with friends it's even better. If you're not use to mouse and keyboard, the game makes it very easy to learn.

I played this game solo and had a blast

Would not recommend this game at all unless under $10. The developer has done an awful job of updating the game. They spent a year between their "1.0" release and the last patch in Early Access. When 1.0 finally came out after EA players waited for over a year, it was massively underwhelming. All they did was add a different hub/lobby, polish a couple levels, remove a bunch of levels that they either didn't like or never got around to finishing, and left the gameplay nearly untouched. AI is still ridiculous in this game and the difficulty curve isn't from the various scenarios you need to encounter, it's from the whacky AI that laser you instantly. There are mods that you can use and the such, but even then, your interactions with AI both civilian and enemy are underwhelming to say the least.

Nah.

Absolutely. I don't require the distraction of other people in MY game. I play exclusively single-player, and it’s fantastic. Even as a "lone gunman" it's phenomenal.

Single player is the worst way to play this game, by the way. The AI both ally and enemy is bad. The things they do, the way they shoot, all of it. It's just unpolished, not intuitive, and just ... bad. And again, the dev has put zero effort into updating this game. They took the money and ran. They left it to the modding community to fix their mistakes.

I am enjoying it solo so far.

I finished the game solo after it's full release, without any mods and it was a really good experience. In my opinion both, police and enemy AIs are good, it was a challenge, but AI teammates are easy to order around and actually really helpful.

I would recommend this game, even if playing solo.

Average coop experience with randoms:
- they play it like COD
- they shoot civilians
- teamkilling (sometimes even at spawn, just for "fun")

So yes, it is worth to play solo (with bots or without them)
