What happened with ragdoll?
I just installed the game after a year and I noticed the enemy won't drop like ragdolls but rather just fall in a pre animated style . Can I fix this with like a mod? Pretty boring to watch em fall like they are just hurt even after they got a headshot...

ragdolls are still there, they're just mixed with the animations. also, the animations are interruptible.

my friend made a mod, its on Mod.io called "Ragdolls return" it essentially works by breaking the animation earlier than the game currently does and forcing ragdoll behaviour much sooner

Yeah, the ragdolls return mod is a great balance between the animation and ragdoll. Go get it!

Don't use Mod.io. Go to nexus and just search for "Jug's gameplay review". Always install mods manually since Mod.io is broken. He has an overhaul for suspect AI and a seperate ragdoll mod which blends in perfectly with the new animations. The vanilla ragdoll system is just weird.

I made the ragdolls mod after trying "Ragdolls Return". While it is indeed better than vanilla, i still didn't agree with the mod maker's rationale, so i developed my own.

From release:

A new RAGDOLLS mod. After studying the existing mod for the game, by DJK83 / DJK2006, I decided to take an alternative approach. Instead of shortening animations to trigger ragdolls early in all spectrum of death / incapacitation situations, i took a qualitative approach:
1. headshots and fatal torso shots - full ragdolls, no animation whatsoever - i broke the links to the anim files.
2. incapacitating / fatal limb shots - full vanilla animations and ragdoll effects. Those effects do look very nice on the vanilla game.
When we take a fatal headshot, any animation will work bad, and the same goes for torso shots. The rest, i just left vanilla.
Thing is, most deaths will be center mass (with the occasional headshot) so, by changing only those rules, the mod will make total difference from both the vanilla game and the existing mod.

I'm still thinking about breaking some other links to animations. Will probably do it by next release
