What weapons and equipment are y'all working with after the new update?
I've been playing the hell out of the GA51 lately. I love the new selection of 7.62x51 weapons VOID gave us. I've also been using the mandible and anti-flash combo, and I noticed the headphones get hidden now when you use the mandible, so they don't clip into each other.

I've found myself swapping between the MP5SD, M14 and G3. G3 packs a hell of a punch and it is fun as hell to just evaporate a suspect with it. But can't go wrong with the tacticool M14 and MP5

New weapons were a godsent. The MP5SD and the GA51 for me.
The G3A3, GA51, and MK17 are good choices.
They all have stupidly low recoil, and are chambered in .308, for only the best in one shot killing potential.
The FiveSeveN is still the best handgun in the game.
Other than guns, I run default + WP/GPNVGS, because I never end up using grenades, C2, wedges, tasers, or really any of the tactical devices. Most multiplayer lobbies just don't expect it of you, so I don't really pay attention to what I'm carrying.

I've been kind of disillusioned now about the GA51. One of the disadvantages of that shorter barrel is that it's probably the lowest-damage .308 rifle in the game, since all of the gas can escape from behind the bullet, it makes sense.

I am starting to fancy the longer battle rifles now, mostly the G3 and M14, since the SCAR-17's color does not appeal to the darker aesthetic I love with my load outs

There is no difference in damage between barrel lengths.
Ballistics don't exist in Ready or Not.
There is literally no disadvantage to having a shorter barrel.

Incorrect.

Ballistics do somewhat exist, such as penetration variables, velocity, etc. And to account for barrel length, most of the shorter barreled weapons do indeed have slightly lower velocity and damage output than their longer barrel cousins. Just open up the UASSET files and you’ll see how in depth it actually goes.

HOWEVER, at CQB ranges, much of this is fairly negligible even on the GA51 (HK51), even IRL.

That's true, but I notice a significant reduction in damage, especially at range. I've had suspects survive .308 shots before using the GA51, and they did tend to be at medium-long ranges, and I notice the battle rifles would not have the same problem.

Curiously enough, I never really had trouble with the length of the barrel being hard to maneuver in CQB situations, since I like to keep my distance from any potential threats.

I say again-
Ballistics do not exist in Ready or Not. They just don't.

So all the times i accidentaly shot someone or even myself by ricochet was just a lie? Or the times i killed people through multiple objects? Gtfo of here lmao
The new weapons are amazing, im here hoping the next update has more to do with apartments or some smaller levels and we get some new shotties!

That's a function of the caliber you're using, not the barrel length of your weapon.
Also, bullets don't ricochet in Ready or Not?
Steel plates fragment when they get hit and cause bleeding wounds to everybody behind you (and you), but bullets don't ricochet.
You're giving a dev team that can't even make a scope properly a lot of credit.

Alright buddy
Apparently, study of the size and speed of a projectile and the effects on the environment are NOT ballistics if it's not specifically about the barrel length of a firearm.
G36, MP7, G3A3, and the SR-16 are my favorite primaries rn. With the beretta and Five-seven pistols being my secondaries. All work well for me on the hardest maps

How do u use the MP5? I find myself mag dumping with any of the MP5s on maps like Elysian and Ides of March unless I'm focused enough to consistently go for headshots
