50% Off Winter Sale Coming?
Wish they'd sale the base game at 50%. It's a game I likely won't get a ton of hours out of but would like to try as a diversion type thing.

Since they have DLC it would be nice for nerw players to be able to dabble in base game for less.

Try to keep your cool and check if crashes and freezes are fixed with this update. For me it crashes to desktop, and I am hoping the patch that comes out today addresses it. But new things could be introduced that causes crashes as well. So... Check around before you buy.

Definitely worth checking out on a decent sale though.

You can buy Steam CD keys for $25.00-$30.00.

Yes, thanks I've gone that route many times but in this case I'd prefer to not give up the 2-hour return policy from Steam just in case.

Yea, that's the trade off although this is a pretty safe buy. IMO, this is the most robust, refined, and polished tactical shooter out. It you can run it, it's a great buy. Great mod support also.

good to know, thnx. I'm a bit worried about my longevity with this sort of game-play though as it can get tedious doing the same mission based CQB stuff over and over ad nauseam.

I typically prefer either open world shooters where you can play in many different ways, or just simple stupid arena type stuff like COD bot matches when I dont want to be bothered with thinking :-)

For me I think this might be the kind of game that I wouldn't want to over-play too much of at one time, and instead just play it in drips and drabs as I feel the itch.

Yea, it's defiantly not open world but the Home Invasion maps are huge and the upcoming Dark Water maps may be also. While the maps can be a little linear, you can anywhere at anytime giving them an open world feeling.
